My cat at first was hesitant to use this self-cleaning litter box. I was expecting a larger litter interior. There were times when my cat would urinate or poo onto the mat thinking that she was inside the litter box. After some time, she has adjusted. I find it difficult to remove the litter tray once litter has been completely dumped - I would like to wash/rinse the litter tray. I like how the device levels the litter properly. There are times when hardened clumps are still attached to the rim of the litter tray, so I would have to manually remove.
My cat loves her new PETKIT litter box. The assembly was easy. I find my cat is fascinated with watching it self clean…perhaps too much. I get app notifications of 18 seconds in the litter box. I figured out she just wanted to see it clean again. Lucky the safety mechanism allows her this entertainment. So far, so good.
My cat took to using it straight away, he must've preferred it way more than his old litter box since usually he's scared of new things. The cleaning cycle didn't scare him either, he was more curious than anything. Having the PetKit is so much easier, and I love that I can set a delay period, keeps it cleaner for longer. Overall, it's a 10/10.
My cats were a little weary at first, one of my cats is 17 lbs (also long and overall a big cat) so he fits in there but typically has his arms and head resting in the doorway. My other cat fit perfectly. This has honesty changed my LIFE and my relationship with my animals. First off I dont have to feel bad for not cleaning their litter punctually. Second, I literally cannot smell a thing- like I can put my head 2 ft from it and cant smell. I am so obsessed never going back. I have some friends that have the puramax and the litterrobot and they are fully on board with puramax- their litter robot has been in the garage dusting since they got puramax !!!!
My initial review would be 1 star, but I believe our cat has turned the corner and is now going to use the Pura Max. Our cat has been going to the bathroom outside the liter box for about 2 weeks. We have taken the sent remover door off, and turned of the cleaning. Filled the litter box past the full line and have put his excrement into the box hoping this would make it know to him to that’s where he needs to go to the bathroom. He was very scared of the max and when we put him in it he wanted nothing more than to get out. We ultimately had to put him in there and bar his way out till he calmed down. That seemed to do the trick as today and yesterday it looks like he is much happier and using the max like a normal liter box. We haven’t turned it on yet for fear he will stop using it. We also haven’t added back in the sent remover, so there are two holes for him to see out of. This will still be 5 stars if we can ultimately use it like intended, but as of now we are still down to 1 star.
Normally I only change cat litter when my wife is pregnant and I puke everytime doing it but with this changing the cat litter is so good and easy with all the air purifiers it makes it perfect.

Ok. I’m surprised! The design and operation are so streamlined and quiet, plus small vs. Litter Robot. We’ve had two LRs over the years and I’m happy to say no more!
PetKit is a game changer!
We have two well-fed kittens. It tracks their activity and weight. But, what I love is how peacefully it cycles and releases a fragrance before cycling. No issue for cats to get used to. Cats are very intelligent.
