Just to clear it out, we ran the oven for about 45 minutes. It really smelled toxic, like burning plastic. We had the fan going, opened windows and doors, and the purifier number hit the roof. I do not like the oven door. It opens too easily. I'm used to a heavier door. The burners come in multi sizes. That's pretty stupid. Especially putting the smaller burner in the back. It did not come with a broiler tray. If I would have realized that sooner, I would have saved my old one. It's okay for what it is. I just think these large appliances are very expensive and not worth the price. Welcome to the world of junk.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A small amount of smoke or odor from your new oven is not uncommon during the first few times the oven is used. This is caused by the heating of new parts, insulating materials, or the tape used in shipping. As we continue to make improvements to our appliances, your feedback is extremely important to us. We will pass these comments regarding the oven door and burner design along to our product design team to review.
I'm only giving this range 2 stars because the stove top is decent. What i want to know is, who in the world thought an electric broiling element in a gas oven was a good idea. I just got my new range installed 2 days ago and I'm already wanting to return it. The oven in my old one went out just before the holidays. One of the first things I did was to bake a pan of cornbread which took too long to get done inside and was darker on top than it should have been. Next I baked a loaf of bread which is burned on top and barely done in the middle. If I have to set the oven rack to the bottom to avoid this happening in the future, there is a great deal of unusable oven space. In all the efforts to improve things, they are actually making them worse and less reliable. Why can't you just make simple ovens with timers and reliable temperature settings like they used to without all the "great new features." No, I do not recommend this range.
