You won't be sorry.

Sony's NEX-5RK/B is perfect for the family, weather you taking pictures at any one of your kids sporting event or family camping pictures, the Sony NEX-5RK/B does it all. And unlike $1,000 camera that will leave a hole in your pocket bigger than the Grand Canyon, the Sony NEX-5RK/B is a fraction of the price with all the same fuctions. Another neat trait that the NEX-5RK/B has is the extended lens option, whats really cool about it is that it has an adaptor(optional) that allows you to use any extended lens, even if its not a Sony brand. So if your looking for a slick new design, durability, and quality, but dont wanna spend $1,000 dollars on a carmera(and lets be honest, you won't use the camera enough to get your $1,000 back) then try the Sony NEX-5RK/B as the title implies, you won't be sorry. ^_^
What's great about it: Light weight, durable, compact and can do what any $1,000 camera can do.
What's not so great: Might be a little too small, if anything.

Good Camera

Overall I am happy with my camera. It has great photo quality. It is the thinnest NEX model, but the external flash kind of cancels that out. Although the flash does look pretty cool. You cant use the front facing tilt screen with the flash installed. The touch screen is not sensitive enough. Don't expect iPhone like responses. Might as well not have touchscreen at all if it doesn't work properly. The wifi is kind of redundant when you can plug in the camera. I guess the technology just needs time to get where it should be. I would suggest paying more for the NEX 7, or less for the NEX F3. Or wait ten years for the technology to improve.
What's great about it: Great photo quality, slim design
What's not so great: Touch screen sucks
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Well worth my wait

I have been waiting to get a grown up camera. I was sold on this camera after watching an ad. I started researching cameras, checked on this one. Waited about a month after choosing this model to make sure it was what I wanted. I decided to buy it from my local camera store. I was taking great pictures as soon as the battery was charged. I carry this in my briefcase on all my travel, I fly weekly and it fits perfect. The special effects are fun to play with. In 2 weeks I leave on vacation and cant wait to photo document the whole thing. I am struggling a little with getting my video's off into my computer. I will figure it out.
What's great about it: Easy Light great image wifi

Wish it had flash

I've been waiting to get a new camera and I would really like this one however it doesn't have built in flash its upsetting!
What's great about it: wifi, touch screen
What's not so great: NO built in flash

I received my Sony NEX 5r. I am very disappointed with the quality. I am so happy when I open the box, is nice and pack, got the camera out and take pictures of the kids outside with nice sunday afternoon, and to very nice video as well. I check the pictures and video on the computer and I see spotty everywhere, at first I thought my lense is dirty. I clean it and when out took some pictures. Still see dirty spots on the pictures. Then I took off the lense and look at the sensor with 5x magnify. I can see the sensor is dirty, it seem like Solder splash all over it. I sent the camera back. Thinking about getting different camera such as Nikkon.
What's great about it: nice looking camera
What's not so great: dirty sensor
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
