This is a tough one

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Why is it tough? I am comparing it to an older dishwasher that although had a fair number of replacement control boards needed over time, it did a good job cleaning and drying the dishes. We've had this one about a month at this point. Apparently newer dishwashers (or at least most?) don't come with heating elements that will help with drying. I was surprised how wet everything still is when it's done. Rinse aid has helped with this but it's annoying I have to buy another product if I want my dishes anywhere close to being as dry as they were with my old dishwasher. Next is cleaning. Most things have come out pretty good but we have had some silverware that still has crusties on them so we end up hand washing them. I was not expecting that to be an issue. Next is the water hookup at the bottom back of the machine. What a terrible spot for it! Once you hook this up and slide it into place, there is no way to make sure it's not leaking at the hookup. To compare, my old machine had the hookup on the bottom front where I could still see it once installed as well as tighten it more if needed. I know Bosch dishwashers are generally highly rated so at this point, my only hope is that it at least keeps running without failure. I don't think I would buy this model again though. Might still go with Bosch but at least something that is supposed to dry better.

Was not happy that registering was just another way to try to extract money from me with an extended warranty. Drain hose was very difficult to get on. It notes 7/8 inch but is EXTREMELY tight on a 7/8 garbage disposal connection.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
