Great dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would have given 5-stars but the instructions in the user guide does not properly show how to place the rinse aid in the compartment! There are multiple holes...which hole do you place the rinse in? I tried one and it came right out below the dispenser, the other one..not sure what occured, some came out at the bottom as well.
Installer left a part on the counter(husband moved it) that I just found and the kick plate (?) under the door, is loose on one side - no information on how to secure it. Even the webpage does not have any related information for this.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellent Dishwasher

Best dishwasher I've ever owned. I love having the third rack although I wish it was adjustable to increase the flexibility. Does an excellent job getting dishes clean and is extremely quiet. Silverware basket could be larger but the third rack does help with that. Would highly recommend!

Very quiet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The dishwasher is such a step up from my previous DW. I do clean my dishes prior to loading them. I have found dirty dishes after washing on the long, sanitize and extra hot. Example is today I washed a spatula without washing it off it came out with egg still on it. So I do rinse all my dishes. But overall I really like it

The drying method requires I open the dishwasher or use a dish rack to dry my dishes completely. The controls are confusing to use. I can control it better on the app. My husband had a hard time figuring it out at well. I like the three racks and the ability to change the level of the middle rack. Overall it does clean the dishes and is an attractive and quiet appliance.

Tines need better design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just bought a Bosch dishwasher based on the reputation of reliability. I found out that the tine design makes it very hard to load my dishes. Previously I had GE and Whirlpool designs which had good tine designs. The Bosch are fine for plates but odd shaped or larger bowls do not fit well and you are forced to take up too much space. There are no large. Also the angles of the tines are too excessive so bowls tip over unless supported by other plates. The spacing of the upper rack tines wasts space on typical glass sizes. Not a fan. And the dishes come out very wet. Hopeufull the reliability will override this fault. I do like how clean the dishes are though.

too modern for us

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When told that I would have to use my phone to register and use my dishwasher, I was outraged. I am 80 and use my phone for phone calls not tech issues with an appliance. A friend walked me through the start up. Initially we were pleased with the appliance. We followed the directions- merely scraping the dishes but not rinsing them. Sadly, we discovered dried on egg yolk from breakfast was not remoed, so too with the residue from bean soups. Pots are hit or miss about coming clean. We also learned that racking silverware is tedious--laying them out in the thin upper-most drawer. We prefer the old basket we used to put silverware in with handles down. The "new" basket is too sall and has small holes--not at all convenient. Our old basket could be carried to the silverware drawer and made it easy to put the silverware away. For the high cost of a Bosch, I am sure we have a reliable appliance that is well-made, but it has too many bells and whistles for me. I do NOT want to operate the dang thing from a remote location via phone! I just want to fill it up, add soap, push a button and close the door. I do love how quiet it is--that is truly exceptional.

Dishwasher Not Drying and Petroleum Smell

I had this 38 dBA 500 Series Bosch dishwadher installed 5/9/2025. This is the 3rd Bosch dishwasher I have owned. The dishes come out clean and the unit is quiet; however, I am disappointed and unhappy with this unit for 2 reasons. First, after running dishes on the hottest cycle, selecting "sanitize" and "extra dry," the interior of the stsinless steel tub is covered in water snd the top rack, which is plastic is covered in water droplets as well. My prior 2 Bosch dishwasher ls did not have this issue at all. In fact, there was no water that accumulated on the stainless steel tun, nor the platic third rack. Also, there is a horrible petroleum smell inside the dishwadher after running a cycle. I hope the smell will eventually go away, but I am wondering if my beand new dishwasher is not reaching high enough temperatures to make the Pure dry work. The rinse aid is full and my other 2 Bosch dishwashers did NOT have this problem.
