I purchased this dishwasher a few months ago. I complained that there was strong petroleum odor and that the dishwasher stainless steel walls had a lot of water droplets after running a cycle and not opening it until the unit was cooled completely. I am happy to report that the petroleum smell finally went away AND I switched the rinse aid to Cascade Power Dry 3 in 1. The different brand of rinse aid made all of the difference. No longer is water clinging to the walls of the dishwasher at the end of the cycle. Overall, I recommend this dishwaser. It is really quiet and cleans well. At this point, my only complaint is the lack of a delay button on the control panel. I should not have to use my iPhone to control my dishwasher features. Bosch, bring back the dealy BUTTON. I took off 1 star for a lack of delay button.

Poor Quality

This is our second dishwasher in 2 years. The first Bosch failed after 18 months. the cost to repair it was almost as much as new dishwasher so we replaced it with this one. The water pump failed on this one in less than 6 months.

Bosch dishwasher review

He's not wrong, dishes are sparkling when they come out and even some nasty pots came out spotless. I love how quiet it is, and the connectivity to my phone via wi-fi is awesome.

So Very Quiet

Yes it is costly but we're hoping it will last 25 years like our last one. This dishwasher is so quiet. It also cleans as it should and looks great. It takes some getting use to the controls on the door top. We have had it a few weeks and are very happy with our purchase

NO AUTO AIR

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I specifically chose the 500 series because i wanted the auto air feature. Then, I decided to spend the little extra and also get the quietest in the series. It was not until I got it home and installed that I realised THIS model does not have the auto air. Quite a disappointment! That was the major reason I chose the 500 model! I am very disappointed that Bosch's marketing was not more clear!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bosch 500 Dishwasher purchase

This dishwasher was worth every penny from the format of the racks to the quiet running motor (we barely know it's even running). The look is very classy in our kitchen. I'm surprised we didn't go with Bosch before!
