Brand new and does not work

I purchased this infrared thermometer per a family recommendation and it does not work. Very disappointed. It only states -LO. Changed batteries twice and continues to state -LO. For this price, it should work. Wish I could get compensated for my time to troubleshoot and to return the item

Robust thermometer, quick operation.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ordering was super-simple, as always in Ooni's webshop. My previous thermometer (non-Ooni) broke and even though it was good, there was one problem - it was slow to start. Ooni's thermometer gives readouts immediately after pressing the trigger, which is the most important feature I value. Accuracy / tolerance seems to be fairly good and I like the way this thing displays also the MIN & MAX temps to make sure you're measuring correctly. Feels like perfect product so far!

Nice thermometer. A must with this type of oven to ensure it has heated up adequately. You can also detect the temp in different locations in the oven for evenness.
