[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There is nothing wrong with the thermometer but I am not sure I really need it since my oven has a thermometer built in and I probably the older cheaper model would have worked just as well.

I also used it to check my roof temp before attempting to climb up to avoid burns! 😊

Shuts down when external ambient temperatures are 100F or greater.

I already owned a dated infrared thermometer that was having the rubberized material break down so I purchased this one. I could not leave it outside or I would receive a Er1 (error) message. No temperature reading.
So I found that I had to take the thermometer inside with me every time I was done using it so it could cool down long enough to work and read the temperature of the Ooni pizza stone.
Not a good quality product, especially for the summer.
