It did not work when

Tried to turn it on the other day (when I did not need it), and it worked. I am guessing if it overheats a bit in the sun it shows this error you never mention anywhere.

Adding onto my previous review, beware of the appearance of all 5 star reviews. All reviews for the thermometer on the Ooni site display 5 stars, even the poor reviews that are rated 1 and 2 stars. You can confirm this by filtering by rating.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It works well for the most part, but I got an error within 15 minutes of starting to use it. A couple of tries of taking out and putting the batteries back in seemed to solve the issue for now.

What is E1 trouble issue. For future reference, used to measure temperature on hot steel plate on grill, works ok.
