(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I got the replacement blades as part of the Philips VoxBox campaign. Each blade is supposed to last ~4 months and have a convenient, color-based indication system to show when it's time for a change. Since the first blade will last a really long time, I thought I'd speak a bit about their quality instead. The blades are quite sharp and do a great job of providing a close shape, and yet because the cutting happens due to the blade's vibrating motion, it doesn't cut the skin in a way a conventional razor would. Given how quick and easy they are to use, it seems unlikely that I'll ever go back to my regular razor. I recommend these!

Product is easy to use and its effective, cost of replacement blades could be less, especially for retires with fixed income
I love the close electric razor shave it’s just how I like it. The blades definitely don’t last as long as advertised. This product was recommended by a friend and he did warn me about the higher price for the blades and the base. I would just add that it’s super hard to find replacement blades, which is why I went with having the blades mailed to my home.
Poor performances. Less than a month !!! (NOT 4 as described). Shame, it becomes very expansive !!!! I'm sorry for buying it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi, Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. We're sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction with these blades. There are a some ways to improve their performance, one of which is to make sure the blades are properly cleaned after each shave, so they last as long as 4 months. After every use blow off any hair accumulated on the blade. Turn your OneBlade on and rinse the blade and comb(s) with lukewarm water. If the attachments need to be cleaned more thoroughly turn the OneBlade off, take off its attachments and wash them under a tap. We'd also like to note that the lifetime of the blade of your Philips OneBlade depends on the volume and density of your hair as well. For hard or long hair, the blade can wear out quicker than for soft and/or short hair. If you have any further questions, please feel free to get in touch via social media. We’re available 24/7 on Facebook and Twitter. Alternatively, you can reach out to us via the contact page on our website. One of our colleagues will then try their best to help you further. Hope to speak to you soon! Kind regards, Philips Consumer Care
In order to get a good shaving, one has to over and over passes on the same place. It causes the skin to swat and become red. I feel pity that I bought it at all. It becomes very expansive to replace the razor head!!!

I have bought this for my husband whom has gone through a few different brands. And it works great for him. The only problem is getting replacement blades for it. I have bought 2 different sets and they were dull and pulled his hair. I returned then to the store and they said it was the user not the blades. The looked wore out and they were not sharp. But we love this product just need sharp blades

Hello. Thanks for bringing this to our attention here. We'd very much like to share some tips with you so your husband can enjoy the blades for a longer period of time. One of the reasons for the blade to turn blunt quicker than expected is improper cleaning. Cleaning tools such as brushes, towels etc or chemical liquids can cause early wear. Please follow the cleaning instructions for OneBlade below: After every use blow off any hair accumulated on the blade. Turn your OneBlade on and rinse the blade and comb(s) with lukewarm water. If the attachments need to be cleaned more thoroughly turn the OneBlade off, take off its attachments and wash them under a tap. Do not tap your blade on a hard surface like the sink to clean or dry it. This can damage the device. . Next to proper cleaning it is important to use your OneBlade only on recommended body parts. The Philips OneBlade is designed to be used on the face to trim and edge up your beard. With the body attachment, you can also use it on your body. However, if you use your OneBlade no other non-recommended areas, like your head, it may cause the blade to wear out and turn green prematurely. Always make sure your skin is clean before using OneBlade on it. The lifetime of the blade of your Philips OneBlade also depends on the volume and density of your hair. For hard or long hair, the blade can wear out quicker than for soft and/or short hair.

I really loved this thing at first, but when not using the guard and shaving directly blade against skin, the blade will dull out within a handful of uses. I would typically use it to trim my neck hair when I was in a hurry and didn't want to razor, but it's simply unaffordable to use it in this manner, as you'd be spending $30 a month on blades. The battery lasts forever, which is great, but the amount of waste this produces over a lifetime for the blades alone makes it an extremely unfriendly product for the environment.
