Needed an oven, GE fit the wall space best

Hi- Thank you for choosing a new GE wall oven for your home. Convection baking doesn't necessarily cook faster. The benefit of convection bake is to have foods that are in most cases more evenly cooked and browned. even when using multiple shelves at once. When using Convection Bake, the recommendation is to reduce your oven temperature by 25 degrees (for the same amount of time), to achieve the best results. Your oven has the capability of doing this for you automatically if the Auto Conversion feature explained on Page 9 of your Owner's Manual has been turned On:

Had this oven installed in our new home. It looks great with our mid-century modern kitchen. stainless steel with a minimal design. It's worked great so far. I especially like the simple digital display and the functions.

Be sure you know how tiny this is inside

After waiting 4 months, I finally had this new oven installed to replace our KitchenAid 27 inch. I was using a private appliance business and needed an all-black unit that would fit after modifications were done and , unfortunately, made the assumption that the interior space would be equal. It is not!!!! It's like a mini oven with two tiny racks that can only accommodate one tray on each shelf. I can't even fit two muffin tins on a single rack. I just don't understand how the same cutout space could be sooooo tiny inside. And now I see why it only comes with two shelves; there's not enough height for a third!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

As much as the features and benefits of the oven are truly remarkable, we were surprised at the length of time it takes the oven to pre-heat, on comparison to our previous 25 year old GE Profile oven. Everything else is great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It is normal to notice a difference between your previous and current oven's preheat time, as it will vary according to oven type. The different cooking modes use specific preheat methods and some modes, like Convection Bake, will take longer. Multiple factors can affect the preheat time, such as the selected temperature and the number of racks, cookware, or food items in the oven. Removing items will help to reduce preheat time!

Traps moisture and takes time to heat up

The oven look great. The two issues I have as compared to my previous GE wall oven are 1. This oven seems to trap a lot of moisture. As a result, when we bake break or chicken, the food is coming out a bit more moist than my previous oven.
2. The oven takes longer to reach proper temperature. This might be why I am experiencing the "moisture" problem above. This oven, compared to my previous GE oven, takes a lot longer to pre-heat.

Hi, Thanks for your loyalty to GE Appliances! We're so glad to hear you are enjoying the appearance of your new oven. It's normal for moisture to form between the glass panels when cooking foods with a lot of moisture. There are vents between the panes of glass, and the moisture should go away within 24 hours.
