turns off during baking!

the control panel locks during baking after i open the door to check the food i think the steam goes on the control panel and locks it. it turns off the whole oven and i need to start over again
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Going back to reliable GE brand

We had GE profile appliances before we renovated our kitchen and replaced them with a European brand though the old GE set of appliances were still working after 15 years. Sadly, the European appliances only lasted for 4-5 years. We are going back to the reliable GE brand.

I love the new GE Smart oven. Not only does it have the conventional oven features, but it has the convection oven, also. Being a smart oven with WIFI capabilities, I can start this oven remotely from my location.

Makes me want to bake

I do love the features especially the proofing feature. Love baking yeast breads and the rise that I get using the proofing feature is wonderful and consistent. Have been baking lots of pita breads that require high stable temperatures. Very happy with this oven.
