Did not make a great first impression

The oven installation was flawless- and my husband did it with no problems- and was easy to set up and install. But cooking my famous coconut cake in the oven- upon checking to see if it was done- both 9” round cakes flew out of the oven and landed upside down on the floor! I’m armed with a toothpick! I couldn’t stop the cakes from flying out! So I immediately fussed at my husband for not having racks that were level. The top rack was actually bent and could not be straighten to actually be level. We returned the top rack to the store- and the manager gave us another rack from the display. The rack is a little more flatter and level but is not completely level- even though the oven is level and so is the bottom rack.
The timer complete buzzer or chime is not very loud despite it being set to “high”. Luckily it gives you a notification on your phone (if it’s setup to use your wifi- which is nice).
Make sure you have another temperature gauge in your oven to detect actual oven temperature. Mine needed to be adjusted.

Overall, we needed an oven and it had the same features as my previous GE oven- and I was not going to wait another 3 months to get the oven with the Air Fry feature. This is your basic oven. I hope to use this for the next 22 years!

Only have had it installed for a few weeks. Fit well into our custom sized cabinet. Needs calibration prior to cooking Thanksgiving turkey but feature rich and good looking. Time will tell on reliability.

I am pleased with the oven's performance for baking, broiling, and convection bake. I did not have luck with my dough rising using proofing. I have not yet tried the convection roast. Unless proofing is essential to you, I would still recommend this product.

Good oven LED Panel backlight too Bright!!

Good oven, nice set of features. However, the backlight on the LED panel in the oven is too bright with no way to modulate brightness. As a result, the color of the clock display does not match the display on our GE Microwave and affects the matched look of the appliances. The display is so bright, one can see all the numbers and features of the oven even when not enabled!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
