1. The visible control panel of our new GE wall oven does match the visible control panel of the new GE microwave right above it in our wall. How could the designers make such an error? 2. Why does a wall oven built in the year 2023 not cook evenly? Shouldn't the engineers have figured this out a few decades back? When I bake a cake or brownies, e.g., and check after 10-15 minutes, it is quite apparent that some areas are puffed up and other areas are down. The cooking is clearly not uniform.

We are more than happy to provide guidance with your wall oven. It is normal for our appliances to have running changes throughout the years, so it's not abnormal for the control panel on your wall oven to not match the control panel on your over-the-range microwave. As for the uneven cooking in your oven, we recommend scheduling service with one of our certified technicians to ensure that your appliance is operating as designed. You can schedule an appointment with a GE Appliances technician by calling 1-800-432-2737 or schedule online at https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm
A month after install we had to replace the computer board because the display stopped working. Happened again 5 months later. Was told this is a known issue. The oven itself works fine but we need to see the display.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We can assure you that we that continue to review all products for possible improvement.
Good rating so far. Love the easy cleaning racks. Wish there were 2 timers for the 2 items in oven but can work this out. Still testing the oven probe and like what has worked with roasts.
Oven works great, like it should. Easy and fast preheat. holds temperature well. Much improvement over our old wall oven which was on its last legs. Faults. Owner's manual, Page 7 oven controls, says that my model oven has an air fry option, but it doesn't. The 'Quick Guide' pages were cumbersome when printed out. There was a warning sheet that about flat top countertop stoves that was provided.... why?
So far, I love it! We've only had it a few weeks, so I can't speak to its durability, or whether we'll have persistent problems with the electronic controls. But it heats accurately, I like the air fry setting (not as good as a counter-top air fryer but it will fit a whole lot more and fry it adequately), and I like the fact that it does both convection and regular baking.
Keep in mind that this is a WiFi connected device. If you minimize WiFi in your home or don't want your appliances potentially collecting data on you, this is not for you. I bought it intending NOT to use the WiFi, but it turns out you can't use some of the features if you don't connect. So.
