We've been using this about two weeks. It looks great, cooks great. Only issue is that even though the sound is on High - you can barely hear it. We have to set the microwave timer in order to hear. The sound volume of High is lower than what I would even expect on LOW. Even when standing right next to the oven and making the change you can barely hear the timer.
Whether you change the settings to high (defaulted) with normal house noise you will not hear it. The whole point of a timer is to be able to hear it while you are in the kitchen with preheat or in another room while cooking. I have a sound meter on my phone and it registers 23-28 decibels at 6 feet away in an extreme quiet room. Low, medium, high volume all register in the "whisper" category range, whether I am at oven door, 6 feet away, or 12 foot away. (a car starting next door only raised the db to 29-30) You will need to use your own independent timer. I have not used the oven enough to speak about the other features but timers are meant to be heard and are essential.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Denise124 - Thanks for sharing your feedback. If the timer is not audible when set to highest volume setting/continuous, please take advantage of your warranty and schedule an appointment with a GE Service technician at 1-800-432-2737 or online at https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm?ICID=GEARsupportflyout-service. Thanks for choosing GE Appliances for your home!
The oven works as expected, it’s appearance is appealing the only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the alarm, which let’s you know when the cooking is done, even set on high is so faint you are required to be next to the oven. Also when it arrived had to have a tech come to correct an obnoxious noise it made on preheating. Turned out to be a loose metal plate that was easily corrected.
