Good oven but sticky racks

Good product but takes longer to heat up. Inside racks become sticky when oven is set for high temperature. Not sure why but my guess is they used some kind of paint on racks that become sticky on high temperatures
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great function; we'll see how long it lasts!

So far, I love it! We've only had it a few weeks, so I can't speak to its durability, or whether we'll have persistent problems with the electronic controls. But it heats accurately, I like the air fry setting (not as good as a counter-top air fryer but it will fit a whole lot more and fry it adequately), and I like the fact that it does both convection and regular baking.
Keep in mind that this is a WiFi connected device. If you minimize WiFi in your home or don't want your appliances potentially collecting data on you, this is not for you. I bought it intending NOT to use the WiFi, but it turns out you can't use some of the features if you don't connect. So.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Disappointed

Light would not turn off upon installation. One week to get a third party repair man to check it. Waiting on parts. Going on three weeks after installed and still haven’t been able to use it. Disappointed to say the least.

Nix need for WiFi forever Fry
on October 31, 2024

I really like my oven. I have only used the air fryer twice. I have used the oven roast method once. The biggest frustration was having to get this oven set up to Wi-Fi so I could use the air fryer mode. I was planning to use it one evening for gas but then, I realized I had to get it connected to Wi-Fi. It makes absolutely no sense. I am 69 years old and I tried and tried for two hours to get this thing connected and couldn’t. I had to get somebody to come and help me at a later time. It was so frustrating. Now that it’s set up I don’t even have to use Wi-Fi to use my oven so why in the world did it even have to be hooked up to Wi-Fi? So stupid. I am giving it a four star because of the stupid Wi-Fi issue. I love the convection to bake bread and it does a great job.

Nice oven but...

Well the oven looks great and installed well and most of the functions work as advertised. I am wondering about using the air fry function when I live in a rural area without reliable internet. I am really curious about this not being mentioned in the literature that came with the oven

We are thrilled that you are enjoying the appearance of your beautiful new oven and the cooking features. We are confident that you will be able to utilize the Air Fry feature with your WiFi connection. Certain cooking modes for this oven do require an optional internet connection. However, the traditional cooking modes are available without an internet connection.

New GE wall oven looks much cheaper than old model
on April 26, 2025

Oven could not be installed without changing the cutout though the new GE oven was replacing a broken GE product. Needed professional service to install wall oven because of this issue. Product came without a manual, if you want to learn how the on operates you need to go online and download a manual Manual is missing information, such as what kind of bulbs are required if oven bulbs need replacement The center screen displaying the clock is extremely bright and looks accordingly cheap. GE does not allow to dim the screen, Bummer. (see attached picture)

A little disappointed

This unit is replacement for a 20+ year old GE Monogram unit that was here when we bought the house a few years ago. Everything about this new unit is similar but the little panel of functions is much easier to see. I am concerned about how difficult it is to slide the racks in and out. It is more difficult than he 20 y/o unit. Also it only comes with two racks not 3. Cooks great.

Whose responsible for these problems?

Ok GE exec's AND product developers... what were you folks thinking not providing buyers with both installation and use manuals with new GE ovens so buyers could install and use your highly touted ovens with all it's bells and whistles?...Hello...I shouldn't have to go online and print out a complete user manual and installation guide...for the price of this oven YOU should provide me with that info period...now to the product ner' do well folks ...I'd like to know if any of you cook in a kitchen with dishwashers working, kids running around, tv's blasting etc. etc. what in heavens name made you develop an oven timer whose signal at it's loudest setting can't be heard even when you are right next to the oven ...I thought the folks that complained about the timer signal sounds were perhaps slightly hearing impaired... well they are not...I can hear a bird tweeting even in the noisiest setting but I can't hear GE's oven timer if I perhaps run water from the tap, have the stove's exhaust on, or heaven forbid I'm using a food blender, mixer, radio, telephone, ...etc. Where did you folks think this oven was going to be used ..in a graveyard? So figure out this product defect and give other new owners a break so they don't have to go out and buy a separate timer on top of their oven cost like I had too.
