Quiet and efficient

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This new dryer has proven to be a huge upgrade for my household, providing an amazing combination of advanced features, ease of use, and superior performance. I previously had an older dryer that was not only noisy but also struggled to fully dry clothes, often requiring multiple cycles and causing unnecessary rewashing because they ended up smelling musty.
One of the standout features for me is its advanced drying technology, which includes an intelligent AI system that actively monitors the moisture levels of the laundry and adjusts the drying time accordingly. It ensures that clothes are always dried regardless of the load size or fabric type. The dryer’s ability to sense residual moisture and automatically extend the drying cycle if necessary eliminates the need for me to rerun cycles making my life easier as a busy mom.
Equally impressive is the dryer’s ultra-quiet operation. The high-performance motor and well-engineered design make it nearly impossible to tell when the dryer is running, even in a quiet household environment. This feature alone significantly enhances the user experience, particularly for those living in smaller spaces or for anyone who values peace and quiet during daily tasks. The dryer’s whisper-quiet performance is a testament to the thoughtful engineering that has gone into its development.
Additionally, the dryer is designed for flexibility, with the option to be converted to either gas or electric, allowing for easy installation if you move someplace else.
The design of the appliance is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. One of the features I particularly appreciate is the easy-to-empty lint tray, which is designed with a basket-like filter to capture all lint and debris effectively. This ensures that maintenance is simple, quick, and hassle-free. The tray’s design prevents any buildup, reducing the frequency of cleaning while ensuring that the dryer operates efficiently at all times. It's been a great purchase!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not as good as I thought it would be

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really excited to try the LG ventless front load dryer. I was so glad to get rid of the stupid useless dryer vent because I always worried about a fire. I was able to use my drain hose from my washer with the dryer drain hose so I didn't have to do much to get it hooked up and running. I was a little disappointed when I dried the first load of clothes and it said it would take 2 hours, I thought holy cow how much is my electric boll going to be if every load takes this long. Although it says it is supposed to be energy efficient Im not sure about that yet. Also I hate the button to start it on the flat front because I am always bumping it and it turns on. So I was not as happy as I thought I would be with this LG dryer. The Inverter drive motor system has performed well and it is super quiet as promised. I love the AI technology because it helps me by determining the fabric texture and load size so I don't have to guess. I do like the black steel finish but it is the dryer itself is super boxy looking and boring.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Door won't stay shut

It dries well even if it does take a bit long, but that's the nature of a heat pump dryer. If you are planning on stacking this dryer keep in mind this door is not reversible because of the magnet in the door. The biggest issue is that the door open opens constantly during the drying process. On a regular drying cycle I have to get up about 3-4 times to close the door and restart the dryer

Thanks for sharing your experience with your LG dryer. It's great to hear it dries well, even with a longer dry cycle typical of heat pump technology. Your note about the non-reversible door is helpful for other planning to stack. We definitely want to look into the door opening during a cycle. Please private message us on social media @LGUSSupport with your contact details. We'll be looking forward to resolving this. ^David

Not good for bedding

Works fine for most items, although the heat pump feature causes longer dry times, and even with the “very dry” setting enabled, clothes finish slightly damp. The big problem is with sheets and blankets, which because of the continuous rotation of the drum in one direction, promptly roll themselves into tight burritos. LG’s solution is to stop the machine, untangle the item and restart, which, duh, sort of defeats the point of automatic dryer, since you have to do it multiple times during a load. I wind up draping sheets over my deck railing to dry, which while awkward, is REALLY energy efficient.

Hey there! We appreciate your feedback on this dryer! If your LG dryer leaves clothes damp, the most common cause is likely due to airflow restriction from a clogged lint filter or vent, or a faulty component like a dirty moisture sensor, heating element, or thermal fuse. To troubleshoot, first clean the lint filter, then inspect and clear the vent hose and exterior vent for kinks or blockages. If the issue persists, try resetting the dryer by unplugging it, and if that doesn't work, you may need to test or replace the moisture sensors or heating element. We don't want you draping your sheets over your deck railing to dry anymore!
