I have used the Thermacell product for many years in the woods. Recommend it to everyone. Once the sceptics try it they are converted to fanatics! I like the convenience of the Patio shield. The ability to store extra pads inside is nice.

I can enjoy my backyard patio!

I've been using the outdoor units for a few years and love them. We recently purchased a new home with a large patio. I just start the patio shield up and enjoy my backyard! It's attractive and extremely efficient!

Waste of Money!

I purchased this around a month ago. I used the single power cell that came with it and after the 3rd time using it the device would not stay lit. I called customer service and I was told that you have to have at least 2 power cells in it for it to work correctly. ** Did I forget to mention that the original fuel cell was still half way full!! ** I proceeded to spent MORE money and purchased the 48 hour "kit" which came with 4 new power cells as well as the "blue" cards. I installed all NEW cells into the device and gave it another try. about 3 to 4 other times, it started to GO OUT AGAIN! keep in mind that this was used in a low wind environment. Not Happy at all.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Mosquitos are our state bird!

We finally cam go outside again!! The Thermocells have been AMAZING!
We live in the southwest where mosquitos are abundant and dangerous. You walk outside and you are swarmed! Our pets suffer from heart worms from mosquito bites and people fear outbreaks of Zika virus and West Nile Virus.
The Thermocells have allowed us to go outside again! We are able to grill, swim in our pool and not cover ourselves with stinky dangerous sprays and we are not smelling the overpowering scent of citronella. Let's face it... citronella candles and torches only help a little bit. Plus, we don't carry them into the house on us, anymore.
I use two in my yard and they allow us use of our deck and pool. Where were these when we were in Boy Scouts?! They are easy to use, attractive and they WORK AMAZINGLY!
BUY THESE! GO OUTSIDE AGAIN!

Great product for home or travel

My cousin had one of the portable units she used in her backyard in Louisiana. It worked so well I bought one when I got home. We took it with us in RV and when we visited friends. Recently purchased a Patio Shield for home use so we didn't have to remember to take or bring the portable unit with us when we travel Now have one at home and one on the RV.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We Took Back Our Deck and Yard!

This is a wonderful product! Now we can sit on the deck and enjoy watching our cats in their wooded yard without having to spray ourselves or light the candles which are not very effective. We love this product!!
