Knocked the skeeters back in South Florida

Let me start by start by stating that I have been a fan of Thermacell products for years. I use one hunting, and I have several for home and camping use. I was visiting my family down in South Florida this last week. With all the "social distancing" going on, we did a lot of sitting around my sister's patio to converse. The first night I was there, the mosquitoes would not leave you alone. The area had just recently been deluged by rain for a solid week, and the mosquito larvae were just starting to emerge from any standing water. Even though my sister has a screened in patio, it was full of mosquitoes as the dogs have a dog door they are constantly coming in and out of. On the second night of my visit, I purposely went to a retail store that I know carries Thermacell products and picked up the Patio Shield repeller. I set it up immediately upon arriving at my sister's house at 7 PM. We sat around until past 11 PM, and both my sisters commented on how amazing that neither of them had been bothered by mosquitoes all night long! My older sister was going out the next day to get 2 more her her house so she can enjoy her patio for the entire summer. Way to go Thermacell!

I bought this about a month ago because my area has mosquitoes populations that are out of control due to ponds and sitting water. I'm allergic to mosquitoes and so are a couple of my teenage children. The sprays on the market although they sometimes work, leave you having to shower off or in my case, more allergies.
The thermacell works great and I can sit out early am and at dusk with my Coonhound and enjoy the time i!

Bug be gone...

The item was recommended by my daughter, we used it one Friday evening, the thing rocks. Works like it says, down here in South Texas and with all the recent rains. Its mosquito season at its fullest. And with a whole bunch of gran kids, so needless to say, it works great. Got them all outside in the pool, may need to get something that disperses much wider or a couple more to cover most of our backyard. Most highly recommended..

Wish I knew if it worked.

We recently bought a thermacell and it does not work. Not glowing light....NOTHING! Tried buying a refill pack as maybe the Butane defective. Watched several you tube videos thinking maybe we weren’t doing something right. Followed every step on the instructions as well on you tube and still no glowing light.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

• Please be sure to properly insert the fuel cartridge and replace it approximate every 12 hours. Also, you should replace the insect repellent mats approximately every 4 hours (it will turn white on the top side).
• Ensure the cap is removed and remains off during operation.
• To ensure the unit is working properly, please be sure that there is an orange light glowing in the view hole (… on the top of the repeller or on the brim of the lantern)
• This product is fueled by butane which means it starts very much like a gas grill does. Turn the valve on, wait 5 seconds, then click “start”. It might take a few times like it takes a few times to get a grill going!

I bought this 8 days ago from Walmart.living here in northern Maine their is no shortage of mosquitoes and patio shield rep
I have taken back my patio am planning on buying 2 more for outside camping and picnics thanks again for the patio repeller
