THEY WORK!

I’ve had a portable at our mountain cabin and it worked so well I bought two for each patio at our condo rental. I’m a fan!

Bought on a slim chance

I can’t say enough about these products. I purchased several different styles of these repellants. We had a trip planned for the North woods of WI and wanted to be able to enjoy outside with layering my skin with chemicals. I really didn’t think they would work, boy was I proven wrong. After the first night our family dubbed the protected area as “The circle of trust”. As long as you were in the radius of the Thermacells no flying bugs of any kind. Walk away from the circle of trust, you were fair game for the war of human and mosquito. The mosquitos were out almost all day, so the circle of trust or a single unit would travel from cabin to cabin, while on a walk or fishing from the pier. I did purchase twice as many as recommended for a 40 square foot area. We had 17 in our group for that week in WI. Not one bite on anyone as long as they were near a Thermacel unit. They REALLY WORK!

Lite it up and enjoy

I Purchased a patio Thermacell after my Wife saw how long it worked at my neighbors house. I have had mine a year now and just bought a whole bunch of refills. This Year I bought my son with one, For the patio at his apartment. His future in-laws saw it and now they are ordering one. I use it not only on the patio but when I am washing or polishing my vehicles keeps the mosquitoes away.

Friends don’t even know this is a mosquito repeller less obtrusive than a candle and smells nicer than bug spray, we live next to a tidal marsh and this makes our outdoor space livable

Great product

My dad has one since he has a pond in his backyard and it worked so well I had to by one. The mosquitos eat my daughter and husband up so bad and it really works to keep them bite free!! When I first bought it and turned it on I thought it didn’t light but after a few seconds you see the flame!! If the mosquitos love you, you need one or two of these!!

Such an incredible flop!

It works so well that the mosquitos and flies have swarmed our small, outdoor patio. They’re so enamored with the “repellant” that they land on the units and happily hang out there until dive bombing us. Unfortunately, we purchased two before we knew better and we are as immersed in disappointment as we are in bites.

• Please be sure to properly insert the fuel cartridge and replace it approximate every 12 hours. Also, you should replace the insect repellent mats approximately every 4 hours (it will turn white on the top side).
• To ensure the unit is working properly, please be sure that there is an orange light glowing in the view hole (… on the top of the repeller or on the brim of the lantern)
• This product is fueled by butane which means it starts very much like a gas grill does. Turn the valve on, wait 5 seconds, then click “start”. It might take a few times like it takes a few times to get a grill going!

Didn’t work

I was so hoping this would work as well as it claimed and well it just wasn’t so.
We have had it on our back porch literally a foot in front of me for over two hours now and we are still killing mosquitos and my husband has still been bitten several times. We will be sending it back.

Before returning the repeller, can you be sure that the cap was removed before and during operation, and that the device was still lit after setting it down (small light through the view hole).

Life Saver! Works Wonderfully.

We have used both this patio version and the hand held units. They all have work so well. We have purchased multiple as gifts, always well received. Taken outs to many events, and friends are always interested and amazed at how immediately the bugs get gone! Perfect for around the camp fire, fishing, and while enjoying dinner outdoors. Highly recommend you try this piece of tech out!
