This thing is awesome!

We used this on our back porch last weekend for the first time, where we are usually either reeking of bug spray or beyond eaten alive.
Nobody put on any bug spray because we wanted to see if this thing really works.... Well... After the first fifteen minutes or so, the mosquitos just went away... And they didn't come back!!! The only bites we had were the ones we got before we turned it on! It will definately be getting another one or two to space around our deck and cabana.!

Allows me to enjoy my patio

We just moved to Florida and are waiting to have the back patio and pool screened in to keep the mosquitos away. We thought that we couldn't enjoy the patio / pool until then. The Patio Shield made the difference and allowed us to enjoy our patio / pool right away. We just set up the Patio Shield on our patio table near the pool, take a dip in the pool and when we get out don't have to worry about being bugged by those nasty flying blood suckers. We're so happy we got the patio shield - it works great, easy to use and re-use, lights the first time every time and there is just a faint smell - enough to let you know it's working.
I would recommend this to a friend!

too expensive for the time it provides

It is very modest in terms of efficacy. It is fancy but does not protect a barrier as the ad mentions.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Lasts all weekend!

On it's first trip, we used this device at our campsite, near our outside cooking area. It was perfect mosquito weather (damp and not too hot)....this little gem kept the mosquitos at bay -- we didn't even see them unless we were walking away from our cone of safety. It worked great, and ran almost non-stop the entire weekend.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bought this and used it for an outdoor gathering near our mosquito infested back yard - amazingly there were no incidents of mosquito attacks! Who would have thunk?

Did not work at all, returned it the next day

I had read a lot of good reviews about this and so decided to buy it for my family for the Canada day long weekend, when we all travel up north and there are tons of bugs. I first set it up on the patio, it was turned on and had the light glowing. Left it on for over an hour and saw no improvements with the mosquitoes whatsoever. We were all still being swarmed by mosquitoes and eaten alive. It was not windy and there were visible fumes coming off of the machine but it was not keeping the bugs away at all. Later that night, we tried it again outside while we all sat at the bonfire. We let it heat up for 1 hour beforehand. It was still not effective at all, within 5 minutes we were all being eaten alive so we had to go inside. I am very disappointed that this product did not work at all and I am starting to think that all of the good reviews must be fake. Returned it the next day.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
