Great Shaver - Have Owned a Norelco Shaver for 20+

For the best result when using your Philips Shaver with a foam or shaving gel, we'd recommend you to take care of the following: Always wash your face with water and soap before you start your shaving routine, after which you can apply your shaving gel or foam. Now you should start shaving by moving your shaver in circular movements over your skin. Doing this ensures that all hair growing in different directions are removed. If you're shaving dry, then we'd recommend you to allow at least 15 minutes for your skin to dry completely before you start shaving after washing it with soap and water.

Worst I have ever seen from Philips

I thought it was too cheap to be true and that was the case. It doesn't cut properly, has too low RPM, will simply not cut close, only lasts a few slow shaves, one month and I have had enough. After trusting Philips for 30 years, I am very disappointed. My last shaver Philips Norelco BB8140XL lasted for many years, no problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. It is possible that the performance of your shaver has declined because it is dirty. There can be hair or dirt particles stuck inside it, causing the shaving heads to don’t function correctly. To fix this problem, properly clean your shaver. If possible, remove the shaving heads and clean your shaver from the inside as well.

Another reason why your shaver might not be working properly is that it is not assembled correctly. For full instructions on how to reassemble your shaver, refer to your user manual.

Furthermore, when you shave with your Philips Shaver, you will achieve optimal results if you make slow circular movements with the shaver over the face.

If you are a new user of the Philips Shaver, keep in mind that your skin needs to adapt to the electric razor. This means that your skin may feel slightly irritated in the beginning. Allow yourself an adjustment period of two to three weeks with your new Philips Shaver.

Not the best shaver I’ve owned

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Noisy, does not hold a charge for very long, and does not shave as close as my last 10 year old Norelco. Overall will have to suffice until I can afford a better product.

This product provides a close shave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This razor provides a consistent close shave. I have been concerned that it doesn’t sound like the blades spin fast enough but are then always pleased with the results. My only concern is battery life. I do feel like the battery does not hold a charge long enough. I can always plug the razor in but then lose the portability obviously. Overall a good razor for the price.
