Being able to wash out shaver is a great plus!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have gotten several of this model (update ones) and gotten great shaves. I was surprised that this model can be placed under the faucet for cleaning. This is super convenient and does a great job of removing all the hairs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I only bought this new razor because the set of cutters for my old razor cost as much as the new razor did. Besides, my old razor was a couple years old. It still worked good, but I couldn't see buying new cutters for an old unit.

Not as good as my old norelco shaver

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the second model shaver I've tried from Phillip norelco and it's the better of the two models. I can run the unit over my beard until the battery recharge light comes on before I get a clean shave. My old norelco (10 years) still gives me a closer and faster shave.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

If you have not shaved for a couple of days and have a heavy beard, we suggest trimming your beard before you start shaving, this technique also helps in reducing shaving time. Try also to not press the shaver too hard against your skin. Only apply a gentle pressure which makes your facial hair stand upright and makes it easier for the shaver blades to catch and cut them.

A close shave for an electric

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've always used Norelco shavers because I feel they give a closer shave than other brands. However, the blades on my most recent shaver didn't seem to stay sharp as long as previous shavers.

This model takes 8 hours to be fully charged, so could you make sure that the shaver has been charged for this amount of time. Can you check also if there is some hair or debris stuck inside the appliance, as this will effect the performance of the shaver. Thanks for reaching out to us regarding your new Philips Norelco Shaver 2100. We are sorry to hear that the appliance does not appear to be holding it's charge successfully, that is unfortunate. This shaver takes 10 hours to be fully charged and will provide 30 minutes of shaving time. When you charge your Philips Shaver for the first time or after a very long time the battery starts charging very slowly to prevent damage to the device. This means that the charging light on your shaver may not flash for the first few hours. Do not worry, simply let your shaver charge for at least two hours and then check the charging status again.
