Buy a better model!

I’ve owned several Norelco shavers over the years but decided to buy the less pensive model this time. Big mistake. With the better models I was used to getting 2 to 3 weeks of shaves before recharging. And it felt like there was some POWER behind the blades. But in this 2300 model I am lucky to get 4 shaves before recharging. And it always - even just after recharging - feels like the the motor is so underpowered - it can hardly cut. Save your money and put it towards one of the higher-end models.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A really great shave!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Two decades of shaving into my life, and I had never tried a rotary shaver. I've always avoided them because I had heard they don't give as close, or as good of a shave. I was so excited to be proven wrong. This thing is amazing. It works well wet or dry, but after the first few times wet I switched to dry and haven't gone back. There isn't enough of a difference in performance here to justify the extra time to wet-shave. This shaver just works that well dry. The Phillips Norelco 2600 is good enough for me, and that is saying a lot. I have tried a lot of shavers and different methods over the years. From 100 year old Gillettes, to the OneBlade. This one has earned a spot in the rotation (and for the time being has completely taken over the rotation)!

Bought my 2000 series shaver, a few months ago and the unit's motor began to get slower and slower. I did charge the unit as per directions. However the motor slowing down during shaving continued. Finally on February 14th,2024, the motor finally stopped working and would not start. I tried charging unit again, motor began working then stopped soon as I began to shave. Not at all happy with this unit. I have always been a fan of the Norellco plugged in unit. Very disappointing results with the battery operated unit. I probably will not purchase another Phillips Norellco , I cannot afford to keep buying and experimenting with these products.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this shaver both dry and wet. Actually, I like using it wet with shaving gel the best but that takes a little longer than a dry shave. I feel I get a closer shave wet. I use it dry when I’m in a hurry and it does a great job.

Consistently solid shave and easy to use

This shaver absolutely exceeded my expectations. The shaver was shipped to my house and it was incredibly easy to set up and charge. Directions were clear and the charging was simple: the shaver comes with an intuitive plug-in system that even without reading directions one could likely figure out. That shaver gets very close to my face without leaving any razor burn, even under the chin, where my old shaver used to really leave red marks. This razor's battery life lasts about what I expected: I can get several uses out of it before it needs recharging. Also, when the battery runs low there is an light which blinks, letting me know it needs charging. This prevents the rude surprise of the battery all of a sudden shutting off on me. The razor is lightweight and easy to store in my bathroom; it's not bulky and is easily placed where it does not cause disturbance to the bathroom set up. I am very pleased with this product's battery life, close shave and ease of use!

Nice quick and convenient shave

I have used Phillips shavers for years. I really like the quick and convenient shaving process. I use it daily and like the fact that the rechargeable battery lasts for weeks at a time. I shave “dry” and it works great and little to no skin irritation. I would defiantly recommend this shaver to anyone who likes a quick convenient shave. I received this product as a promotion for my unbiased review.
