Cheap plastic product with poor results

Terrible product, kept pulling hairs in the spinning side. Was not good for sensitive skin. Broke after my 2nd try from water? Assumably, it is not something I’d buy again. Did not shave smooth. Terrible battery life. Was told my payment for trying this razor would be the razor itself and it broke right away so I didn’t even get paid for this.

Not for me

I got this for Christmas '21 and have been using it exclusively to the day I'm writing this, 20Jan2022. My skin does not like it. My typical adjustment period is about 2 weeks for shavers in the past. This one apparently cuts closer than others bc i get painful razer bumps if i stick to my regular once a day routine. I have tonshave twice a day with this Norelco. I don't like it. My barber insists that i should keep using it and allow my skin more time to "get to know" the shaver. I'll give it until Feb 25th. If i don't see positive improvement, I'm switching back to my old Braun.

Hi, thank you for taking the time to write a review. We're very sorry to hear that you don't like the features of your new shaver. Could you perhaps try cleaning the blades after each use to see if it helps? Here's how: 1-Turn off the shaver, unplug from the outlet, and remove the power cord from the product. 2-Press the unit release button to open the shaving unit. 3-Rinse the shaving unit and hair chamber with lukewarm water. 4-Rinse the outside of the shaving unit with lukewarm water. 5-Carefully shake off excess water and let the shaver air dry. 6-Close the shaving unit.
If this doesn't improve your experience, please reach out to us on Social Media. We’re available 24/7 on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/Philips) and Twitter (https://twitter.com/philipscare). Wish it was better

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wish I could rate this better. But it was far from a good experience using this. The pics show before and after. It took over 5 minutes to reach that point. When I opened up the head to dump the hair. The whole top mechanism came apart and it took awhile to put back together. I appreciate the free product, but can’t give this product a good rating with a clear consciousness.

I bought this for my husband in September and the blades are full and need replacements already! They seem to be expensive considering it's only 3 months old

I use it the same day and like it very much.

I had to replace my old shaver which also was a Philips but caused me problems because I had no instructions with it. Got it from my son a number of years ago. It always worked fine until it started making a grinding noise and wasn’t giving me a clean shave anymore. I think it needed new blades. With no instructions it was very hard to find the right blades. So I decided to buy a new shaver.

Disappointing for such big shaver.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me cut to the chase... - it is close shaver BUT - it does not hold the charge/last long, it uses old gen Ni-Cd batteries - it takes LONG to full charge - it is slow spinning, even with the chord attached. So you can see the con outweighs the pro(s) so I'd say look for another one.

Hi there, thank you for sharing your experience with us. When you charge your Philips Shaver for the first time or after a very long time the battery starts charging very slowly to prevent damage to the device. Charging takes approx. 8 hours and the fully charged shaver has a shaving time of up to: 40minutes. You can also use the shaver while it is plugged-in and charging, although we advise to leave it a charge for a bit before using it, especially if the battery was completely drained out. It is possible that the performance of your shaver has declined because it is dirty. There can be hair or dirt particles stuck inside it, causing the shaving heads to don’t function correctly. To fix this problem, properly clean your shaver. If possible, remove the shaving heads and clean your shaver from the inside as well. For detailed cleaning instructions, please refer to the user manual.
