very slow to cut

I have a decade old rotary shaver from the competition on its last leg and it cut around 3X faster with a dying battery nonetheless. I had to go over my face with the Philips multiple times as it would miss random hairs. I didnt know shaving was like playing a game of Wheres Waldo, never liked that game...
As I am writing this and feeling my face I noticed more uncut hairs. This might be for someone but its not me, just takes too much effort to use. I've been using rotary shavers for almost 30 years straight so these arent new to me.

Please note that using the right technique is key to making sure you’re getting the best results from your Philips Shaver. Hairs do not always grow in a uniform direction, and for that reason, we recommend moving your Shaver in circles while applying light pressure. This allows the blades to cut hairs growing in all different directions. Additionally, if you haven’t shaved for three days or longer, pre-trim the longer hairs with a beard trimmer to ensure a better result when using your Philips Shaver.

1st Rotary Razor That Made Me Decide to Switch!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used safety razors all my life but needed a faster way to get the job done in the AM so I purchased the 3800 after reading several online reviews. It took about 3 weeks of using it to acclimate my beard but the end result is an acceptable close shave in the AM that's good to go for the whole day. I don't have to fuss with the process and my wife also approves of the end result.

No snags, works great!

This works great and I love that at the top a trimmer folds down to get those clean cut lines. It gives a nice close shave and does not tug on my beard hair like my current one. It’s safe to say that I’m throwing out my old one and keeping this one. If you buy this you definitely will not regret it.

A good shave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not much to complain about here fellas. Gives you a close shave with or without shaving gel/cream. It’s wet/dry so no worries there. Comes with a carrying case also. Then, to keep it all nice and tight, there’s a pop up trimmer on the back. Would have 5 stars, but I’ve found that with other shavers I’ve gotten a closer shave and the case/attachments have been better. But all in all not a bad product. Great Christmas idea for the men in your life!

Great for short stubble

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first time I used this razor I hadn’t shaved for about 48 hours. It worked, but took forever to get myself clean shaven. Ideally, this razor works best for short stubble. If you use it every day, you’re golden. If you let your facial hair get beyond a 5 o’clock shadow, you’ll not want to use this razor. Fyi.

I only shave every other day but I look forward to using this shaver. It is very easy to clean, it is quiet, and the battery lasts a long time.
