This razor runs a lot slower than my old one that is about 12 years old. Even with new blades this does not shave very close. It is okay on the face but the neck area is never shaved completely clean.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is a very good product. However, it is not a very robust wet/dry product when used in a slightly acidic water system. The input copper power pins might corrode and break off if rinsed under acidic water. However, the warranty is very good since I'm on my second warranty replacement and I now no longer rinse the shaver off with water and fully expect this one to last.
