[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm really sorry to say this, but this shaver is not a typical Phillips shaver. It rough shaving, not smooth as other, have to work harder to remove the hair. It's just not a comfortable shave.

Missing features

This razor does provide a smooth, comfortable shave. However, it does not include either the USB to outlet adapter or a cleaning brush. Also, the size and shape make it a bit uncomfortable to hold (and I have fairly large hands). Definitely not as well designed as the 20 year old Norelco it is replacing.

Decent razor but lacks in giving a close shave

In this case, the following troubleshooting tips may help you find a solution. The performance of your shaver may have declined because it needs to be cleaned. There can be hair or dirt particles stuck inside it, causing the shaving heads to not function correctly. To fix this problem, properly clean your shaver. Remove the shaving heads and clean your shaver from the inside as well. For detailed cleaning instructions, refer to your user manual. Another reason why your shaver might not be working properly is that it is not assembled correctly. For full instructions on how to reassemble your shaver, refer to your user manual. When using your Philips shaver, you can achieve optimal results by making circular movements with the shaver while applying gentle pressure. If you are a new user of the Philips shaver, keep in mind that your skin needs to adapt to the electric razor. This means that your skin may feel slightly irritated in the beginning. Allow yourself an adjustment period of two to three weeks with your new Philips shaver. You can also use a gentle moisturizer or aftershave lotion to minimize skin irritation after shaving. If you have not shaved for a couple of days and have a heavy beard, it is a good idea to trim your beard before you start shaving. This technique also helps in reducing shaving time.

New Series is Great

I have been using Philips Norelco shavers for 50+ years from the least expensive to the most expensive. After switching to a foil shaver for the last 5 months, I decided to go back to a rotary because they are quiet and won't burn my skin. This shaver does not disappoint. I love the features like the charging stand, protective cap, and the ability to just rinse it clean with water.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Shaver

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am glad that I read in the manual the important recommendation to use 21 days for my skin to adjust to see the best results. The 1st week of shaving was terrible. It did not appear that the shaver was shaving properly. Shaving was uneven. The following weeks was when I saw improvement. I am satisfied with this product and highly recommend to others.

A good shaver, works well, lacks power.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first rotary shaver in years. Hating to shave, I thought I would try the Philips, having used their products for years when I lived overseas. There are many things I like about this shaver. First of all, it shaves well. I am always impressed how close it gets. I apply a pre-shave product prior to using it, and it takes at least 10 minutes to get my beard reasonable smooth. But, I am very satisfied when I am done. It cleans easily, much easier than a traditional straight electric razor. It also keeps its charge well. My only complaint is that it lacks power. I wish the blades were turning twice as fast so it would shave that much faster. But, for the price, thus far, it has been a wise purchase and I do recommend it.
