USB charger only

USB charger only
Too cheap to include a charger. Never purchased a product which I couldn’t charge it when I got home. Look carefully at the box before purchasing, I wish I had. No longer comes with a standard charger, but a USB cord. I would not have purchased if I had noticed in advance.

At Philips, we are committed to reducing plastic waste. As part of our environmental efforts, some Philips products no longer come with a USB power adapter. While this may seem inconvenient, we assure you that it is because most consumers already own one or multiple USB wall adapters. We will continue supplying USB charging cables with the product that can be used with a USB power adapter. If you already own a USB power adapter, make sure that the power adapter is certified and meets safety standards, ideally from a trustworthy brand. See the safety standards for safe charging below: Input voltage: 100-240V, Output voltage: 5V, Power output: 1A or higher. If you want to use or charge your product in a moist environment, for example, in the bathroom, always use a splash-proof (IPX4) rated adapter. If you do not own an adapter, then we recommend a splash-proof (IPX4) adapter. You can get this adapter in the Philips online store or any other retailer. Look for "IPX4" text or symbols on the adapter.

Would never recommend this product to anyone

I was looking for a better razor than my Norelco {screens went bad too early} but this Philips does not give a clos shave no matter how many times I go over my face. I have the 5 oclock shadow 2 hours after I shave. I have been using electrics for 16 years and this is by far the worse!

Allow yourself an adjustment period of two to three weeks with your new Philips Shaver. While shaving, it is important to be gentle, especially if you have sensitive skin prone to irritation. Do not press the shaver too hard against your skin. Only apply a gentle pressure which makes your facial hair stand upright and makes it easier for the shaver blades to catch and cut them. Gentle pressure also reduces friction between the shaver and your skin, resulting in a more comfortable experience. When using your Philips Shaver with a foam or shaving gel, take care of the following tips: • Always wash your face with water and soap before you start shaving. • Apply your favorite shaving gel or foam to your skin. • Start shaving by moving your shaver in circular movements over your skin. This ensures that all hair growing in different directions are removed from your skin. If you are shaving without water, please take care of the following things: • Firstly, always wash your face with some water and soap and then dry it properly. • Allow at least 15 minutes for your skin to dry completely before you start shaving. • Move the shaver on your skin in circular movements to cut all hair growing in different directions.

Handles easily and is lightweight.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this shave because my old Norelco Triple Header finally died. Compared to that shaver this is a huge disappointment. It cuts slow and doesn't feel like it has any power. You can't adjust the depth so if you don't shave daily it really struggles. I rarely use it now, my straight razor is faster and does a better job.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. There are some troubleshooting tips that may help you and we'd like to share them with you.
1. It is possible that your shaver does not turn on or move because it is dirty. There can be hair or dirt particles stuck inside it, causing the shaving heads to be blocked.
To fix this problem, properly clean your shaver. If possible, remove the shaving head and clean your shaver from the inside as well. For detailed cleaning instructions, refer to your user manual.
In some shavers, a cleaning reminder symbol will blink to let you know that the shaver needs to be cleaned.
2.Your Philips Shaver is not assembled correctly Another reason why your shaver might not be working is that it is not assembled correctly. To find out proper instructions on how to reassemble your shaver, refer to your user manual.
3. The travel lock on your Philips Shaver is activated Some Philips Shavers have a 'travel lock' function. If this is activated, the shaver does not turn on. Depending on the shaver model you have, you may see a 'lock' symbol blinking on your shaver to let you know that the travel lock is activated.
To deactivate the travel lock, press the on/off button of your shaver for three to five seconds. Now try turning the shaver on again.

Very underpowered!

I have been a fan of Philips Norelco electric shavers since I started shaving as a teenager. I’ve always loved my Norelcos until I bought the 3800 and was very disappointed with its performance. This shaver is way underpowered, but I don’t know if it’s a motor or battery problem. I thought when I first used this shaver that it just needed a battery charge but soon realized I would have to take twice as long to shave now since you have to shave slower and go over areas more than once. I always liked the 3000 series shavers because the replacement blades were affordable compared to the higher priced models. Maybe this is Norelco’s way of phasing out these once great shavers?

When you shave with your Philips Shaver, you will achieve optimal results if you make slow circular movements with the shaver over the face. Only apply a gentle pressure which makes your facial hair stand upright and makes it easier for the shaver blades to catch and cut them. Could you also check that the shaver is completely free of hair or debris, as this will effect the performance. To fix this problem, properly clean your shaver, and if possible, remove the shaving heads and clean your shaver from the inside as well.
