[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The shaver is quiet and has a long battery life. That's a good thing because it takes forever to shave with it. I have to shave again during the day to look good still. Yes I realize 5 O'clock shadow is normal, but not at noon.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there,
Thanks for sharing your review. We are sorry to hear that you are not pleased with the performance of the Philips Norelco Shaver 3600.
Keeping your blades clean and replacing them when required is the number one way to make sure you get a close shave. We recommend giving your shaver a quick clean after each shave and a more thorough cleaning each month. Hairs do not always grow in a uniform direction, and, for that reason, we recommend moving your shaver in circles while applying light pressure. This allows the blades to cut hairs growing in all different directions. Philips recommends shaving dry with your electric shaver. This means without using gel or foam and with a clean and fully dry face. This allows your shaver to glide smoothly across your skin. Additionally, avoid shaving before a workout, because sweat can cause freshly shaved skin to redden.
We hope this will improve your experience. If the issue still persists, please get in touch via Social Media. We’re available on Facebook (@Philips) and X (@PhilipsCare). Don’t worry, if you don’t use Social Media, you can also reach out to us via the contact page: www.Philips.com/contact.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The shaver does not cut close at all. I’ve tried both wet and dry applications and it just doesn’t seem to cut close the charger. Doesn’t seem to have enough power to cut well constantly needs recharging. I have a light beard and this is extremely disappointing. I used to have a Norelco that I plugged into the wall, and it was much better and did a much better job not everything driven by batteries performs well
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After “practicing” for several weeks, packed my Norelco 3600 for a3-week vacation cruise and travels… (MORE COMPACT THAN MY 5-HEAD ROTARY HEAD SHAVER)
For over three weeks, used it on my beard AS WELL AS MY (BALD) HEAD and was very impressed with overall results…
My 3600 is much quieter handling both face, neck and head snd I can actually HEAR the blades cutting the whiskers and stubble(!) Once I can’t hear the cutting, I know I’m done. Using it for both head and beard, worked JUST AS WELL as my 5-cutter head razor and much quieter!
Actually ran a test with both of them with one razor on left side and other razor on right side…Norelco 3600 just a little better than the head razor, but (understandably) took a little longer. VERY satisfied with results!!! IMPRESSIVE!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been happy with my new razor. It cuts close and does not cause any rash. The motor sounds different, but so far it works very well.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Gave it a chance, it would not give me a close shave! Sticking with the razor.

Hi Cobb,
Thanks for sharing your review regarding the Philips Shaver. We are sorry to hear that you are not getting the close shave.
Please note that using the right technique is key to making sure you’re getting the best results from your shaver. Hairs do not always grow in a uniform direction, and for that reason, we recommend moving your shaver in circles while applying light pressure. This allows the blades to cut hairs growing in all different directions. Additionally, if you haven’t shaved for three days or longer, pre-trim the longer hairs with a beard trimmer to ensure a better result when using your Philips electric shaver.
