[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have been using a Philips electric shaver, battery powered, forever. 30+ years. My most recent one was a model 9160XL, but the power switch failed and it is not readily replaceable. So my new Philips S3243 cordless Philips is great for two things -- it is very light weight and the battery lasts seemingly for weeks on end. Also like that it uses a USB charging cord, so there are lots of ways to charge the shaver. However, the cut is just so-so. And that's what a shaver is for, right? It is definitely not as close a shave as my old beloved shaver. If going out for an evening event, a quick shave is needed in the late afternoon. And when shaving the daily stubble, it sounds like a weedwhacker. The old is better than the new. But it will do.
