Grill Mechanic-poor wiring

Wiring behind the control knobs keeps melting making the lights not work. Also they are not posting my previous review. I am shocked they don't have more issues as this was not engineered right. And they dont seem to care.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi Jason, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on your Flatrock Flat Top Grill. I understand your concern about the wiring behind the control knobs and I appreciate you letting us know. Since this part was already replaced once and this is not something we see happening with other customers it may help to review the installation steps to ensure every connection is seated as intended. Correct placement of the wiring is essential for the lights to function as designed and even a small misalignment can affect performance. Our team can walk you through the process and confirm that everything is set up safely. For further assistance you can reach us at 1 800 TRAEGER. TRAEGER

Great but could be a little better

I’ve been using it for a couple days now and it’s by far the best flat grill I’ve had or used. I also have the Traeger Timberline pellet grill that I’m very happy with. That being said I do have a couple of feedback comments for Treager on the Flatrock if your listening. 1st: The side tables need some type of rubber bumper on them similar to the Timberline. When you fold the tables down for storage the P.A.L. assembly bumps metal angainst metal on the flatrock legs. It’s noisey and it causes the leg paint and P.A.L. rail to chaff. It can/will become a point of corrosion in the future. 2nd: I know it adds to the cost but can you design a cover for the flatrock that’s similar to the Timberline in that the cover works when the side tables are extended? The current cover version for the flatrock doesn’t allow for the extended side tables and it kind of cuts down on the effectiveness of the P.A.L. system. What’s the use of having the P.A.L. system if you have to remove all of the P.A.L. accessories to put on the cover?

This flat top grill is worth every penny! Cooks food really fast. All the food is done at the same time. Clean up is easy. So happy with this purchase. Assembly was a breeze.

Great at cooking -- poor design for propane hookup

This griddle cooks with extremely even heat that's easy to control. Cleaning and maintenance also easy to complete. However, you need the strength and flexibility of an olympic gymnast to crawl under the unit to hang the propane bottle.

Thanks for your feedback on the Flatrock Griddle. Although the tank should not have to be lifted very far to hang on the rack, and any of the openings/handles on the tank collar can be used for the hanger, it may be helpful to have a second person help with getting it into position under the griddle if you find it difficult to do alone. In situations like this, it is better to be safe, especially since it is not something that needs to be done very often.

A screw broke inside the grill while using handtools

Hi, and thanks for your feedback on the Traeger Flatrock. Anytime a part is damaged during normal use and maintenance, please reach out to Traeger Customer Service as soon as it occurs. This includes items like screws, bolts, nuts and other hardware, in addition to the Flatrock's major components. A quick call while you are with the griddle should provide a resolution, possibly without even needing anything replaced. And while parts may not be covered if your Traeger is out of warranty, we can still assist in other ways, regardless of how old your Flatrock is.
