Hands down this Flatrock has completely changed my mind on griddling. The even heat all over the griddle top is amazing! This griddle gets HOT also! Also love the lid. Everything is solid. I would like for Traeger to “beef” up the legs where it attaches to the main unit so they don’t squeeze when screws are tightened down.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I owned multiples of griddles in my career This griddle was provided to me by Traeger It surpassed all of my expectations and evenness of cooking. Overall, the value will be a lifetime of griddle opportunities.
Great at cooking -- poor design for propane hookup

This griddle cooks with extremely even heat that's easy to control. Cleaning and maintenance also easy to complete. However, you need the strength and flexibility of an olympic gymnast to crawl under the unit to hang the propane bottle.

Thanks for your feedback on the Flatrock Griddle. Although the tank should not have to be lifted very far to hang on the rack, and any of the openings/handles on the tank collar can be used for the hanger, it may be helpful to have a second person help with getting it into position under the griddle if you find it difficult to do alone. In situations like this, it is better to be safe, especially since it is not something that needs to be done very often.
I bought this back in October at The State Fair of Texas. It has been one of the best investments I have made for my Family. It’s been easy making breakfast because we have a really small kitchen so cooking outdoors is wonderful. I love the wind isn’t a factor in cooking. I also have a Traeger Ironwood 885 that I used to smoke my steaks and chicken on then use the Traeger Flatrock to sear. My Wife and I are on cloud 9.
