Nice little saw, but one complaint -- at it's highest setting it barely cuts through a 2x4 and leaves just a sliver of wood on the bottom. I wish it had about 2mm more depth.

Great little saw. Very easy to handle and has enough power to do the job. I like that its cordless and was very easy to set up. My only downside was that it didn't cut thru a 2x4 very cleanly. Just an 1/8inch more depth would have been perfect. Still, happy with purchase.

Fantastic saw. Works as designed, great ergonomics. The warranty is best in the class. I have two slight issues; I wish it came with 2 batteries even though the charger is extremely fast. Lastly, this criticism isn’t directed at Skil but rather at the entire class of saw manufacturers, they need to make the saw blades 1/2” bigger. I bought the saw primarily to trim 4” X 4” fence post tops. The skil saw does a fantastic job, but if the saw blade was 1/2” bigger I could trim the tops in two passes rather than three around the post. Small complaint that every saw manufacturers should consider.

I purchased this saw for those small projects that you don't need the big heavy saw (7.5" 18volt). I took it out of the box & fully charged the battery. It has worked great for me! I made 26 cuts on 2x6s. It sliced through them like butter! The last few cuts were in an odd position & I kept binding the saw. The battery would then show only 1 bar. After a couple of minutes it it would be back to 2. I could probably made several more cuts, but the project was done. This saw is very light, Except for the base plate it is all plastic. This shouldn't be a problem unless you are rough on you tools. Good speed, plenty of power, great value! buy this saw!!
