Great little saw. Very easy to handle and has enough power to do the job. I like that its cordless and was very easy to set up. My only downside was that it didn't cut thru a 2x4 very cleanly. Just an 1/8inch more depth would have been perfect. Still, happy with purchase.

Fantastic saw. Works as designed, great ergonomics. The warranty is best in the class. I have two slight issues; I wish it came with 2 batteries even though the charger is extremely fast. Lastly, this criticism isn’t directed at Skil but rather at the entire class of saw manufacturers, they need to make the saw blades 1/2” bigger. I bought the saw primarily to trim 4” X 4” fence post tops. The skil saw does a fantastic job, but if the saw blade was 1/2” bigger I could trim the tops in two passes rather than three around the post. Small complaint that every saw manufacturers should consider.

Good concept but flawed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This compact saw out of the box seems to be well made. It feels sturdy in the hands and at first cut very well. I like that it has a built in spot for the adjusting hex key. It's light enough to use all day without making my hands tired. The added charge port for a USB is also a nice touch. After a few weeks ide notice that the saw would stop spinning when it got to hot and it's pretty unfortunate.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent handheld circular saw

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am always doing different carpentry projects around the house. I used this saw to build both floating and structural shelving for my garage and home. This saw was totally up to the task. It performed better than I anticipated and didn’t need my table saw or chop saw for anything. It went through 3/4” plywood with ease and no binding up. It blew through 2x4s with no issues as well and the battery held up for longer than expected. I would recommend this saw to anyone who loves the convenience of going cordless. It was a game changer.

Surprisingly light

I was able to get many cuts in before needing to recharge. It also doesn’t feel bulky or heavy in your hand. I would reccomend to anyone!

Where previously you would have had to use a reciprocating saw, this design allows you to have the clean edges and smooth cut of a circular saw. This is the perfect tool for roughing in plumbing and electrical. Also, as an added bonus, Skils 20v battery has a USB port for charging your cell phone! This is a must have tool for cuts in tight spaces.
