This thing is a solution looking for a problem. If you don't have a probe on your smoker, this might be useful.

I like that it monitors but still loses Bluetooth connection

Different factors may be interfering with Bluetooth connectivity such as the distance between the charger and the probe, incompatible or heavily insulated appliances, wrapping the probe in foil, or cooking in a covered dish. Did a turkey with it said it was done and it was nowhere near done had to rely on the pop-up sensor on the turkey
