I’ve been using the original version of the Meater for years with great results but with the fear of blowing up the device during a sear in the rear, not any more…. The Meater pro does not disappoint, I’m love’n the 1000 F ambient temp threshold! From ribeyes to thick cut pork chops to fillet mignons, fear the sear no more! Second time around and once again a great device at a great price with killer features!
Love the Pro. I use multiple Meater probes for smoking. Accurate IT temps, Bluetooth capability and functions in the app are amazing as well!

So disappointed

Extremely disappointed. I want to love the Meater Pro: it's great WHEN it works and that's a huge if. I got my first one and it worked for about a month, then the probe stopped connecting to the charger. Reached out to support and after some back and forth they told me it was defective and sent me a new one, which I appreciated.
Exact same issue is happening with the replacement. It might work every 4th time I use it. It get properly cleaned and charged between each use and it's a total toss up if it will connect. Don't waste your money, they simply are not reliable.

Based on what you’re describing, the most likely diagnosis is an intermittent contact failure between the probe and the charger. When the charging pins or internal contacts don’t consistently register, the probe may not wake correctly, which leads to unpredictable connection behavior even when the probe has been properly cleaned and stored.
The next step is to replace the charger’s battery with a fresh, high-quality AAA alkaline battery and confirm that the probe immediately powers on when removed from the charger. It’s also important to ensure the probe is fully seated so the contacts disengage cleanly when removed. If the connection remains unreliable after installing a new battery, this indicates the charger itself is not maintaining proper contact and should be evaluated for replacement rather than cycling probes.

Has failed every time we've tried to cook steak

Had a really good turkey on the first cook. Have tried 5 steaks since then and the best one was still overcooked rated as a 3 star. This one was an expensive fillet and it came out well done when asked for medium rare. As soon as the recommendation for time came up on the app, I was immediately sceptical but thought I'd give it one last chance. I will not be using this at least it's time recommended values again.

I’ve purchased multiple meters and even the latest purchase was a gift for friends which I’ve done multiple times. In the last month I’ve had both of my meters one is early generation meter plus and the meter 2+ have stopped working completely. If I did not already purchase the gift, I probably would not have only because I see they’re failing on me. I thoroughly do enjoy them when they work. I have created a ticket and will have to call you in order to get it fixed. The meter 2+ intermittently works in the beginning and then it has now completely stopped. It shows a green light when charging, but will not last for a few minutes and stops.

Junk probes

These probes are junk! Once again I set mine up on a tomahawk steak and it disconnected within 2 minutes. I then plugged in my trusty Therm Pro and, as usual, worked flawlessly. These probes have zero range and are nothing more than an exercise in frustration! Get the Therm Pro! You will be glad you did!!!
