I was so convinced that my husband did not need this thermometer. Like how hard is it to set a time and go outside and look?? We live in Wyoming, currently its a whopping 20 degrees Fahrenheit.. the pellets were low, the hopper did feed correctly. I noticed on his phone the temperature outside the meat had dropped 2 degrees.. ahh heck yeah early warning that I needed to shake our old box to fix the feed issue. I think this saved us from having to wait another 4 hours to eat the best brisket!! I'm about to buy one for my brother-in-laws! My sisters deserve to have this sane convenience!

My daughter & son-in-law gave me a Meater+ earlier this year and I had never used it. When Thanksgiving was approaching I saw a good use for it because I was going to do a turkey on the rotisserie of my pellet grill, so probes with cords wouldn’t work. I had the opportunity to get a good deal on this MEATER Pro, so I bought it to have one probe for the breast and one for the thigh. They were very easy to link to the app and performed beautifully and the turkey was perfect…juicy, tasty and the right temperature all the way to the bone.

Bought this to use on our Thanksgiving turkey and it work perfectly. Only had to open the oven twice. Once to put it in and Once to take it out. Usually have to open it multiple times to check the temperature. Double checked the temp with and instant read and it was pretty close. Next up is a tomahawk!!!!

I upgraded my old Meater to the Pro hoping the range would be better. I use it in a Green Egg. Unfortunately the range is no better and maybe worse. Cant even stay connected at 50 feet from the Egg.

Thank you for your review of the MEATER Pro. The range can vary a lot depending on obstructions in the cook environment. In open air (line of sight) the probe to charger range is up to 33 ft. From the charger to your smart device is up to 250 ft. It is recommended to keep the charger as close to the appliance as safely possible. The video below will go over range expectations.
