Connection was still not great, would drop only a few feet away. At least it didn’t burn up like my last one.

Thanks for sharing your experience with us! The Bluetooth signal of your MEATER Pro can be affected by several factors, such as: obstacles like walls, closed windows, or doors. Other electronic devices broadcasting on the same frequency. Materials like foil or heavily insulated cooking appliances. To improve your connection, we recommend keeping the charger as close to the probe as possible during a cook, and minimizing any barriers between the charger and your phone. This can help maintain a more stable connection. If the issue persists, feel free to reach out to our Customer Support team for further assistance at support.meater.com/contact-us.
I really like the thinner thermometer but the range is less than the MEATER 2

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us! We’re glad to hear you appreciate that the unit is thinner than previous models. Both units have the same range from the probe to the charger, which is up to 33 feet. The key difference is the range from the charger to the phone: the MEATER Plus offers up to 165ft, while the MEATER Pro extends up to 250ft. We hope this clears up the differences! If you’re encountering connectivity issues, our Support Wizard has helpful steps available at support.meater.com/helper.
I had the Meater and I bought the Meater Pro because it was advertised to have better range than the original. It has about 5 more feet of range. It works great, but still has a very limited Bluetooth range.
