I purchased two — one

I purchased two — one to use with my Turkey Day deep fryer. It didn't work once the device was submerged in the hot oil. I had asked if it would work in this manner and they said yes. Another lousy thermometer.

We’re sorry to hear your probe was damaged. The MEATER Pro is designed to handle temperatures of up to 1000°F, so it should be able to withstand deep frying. However, if the temperature exceeds this limit or changes quickly, it may cause damage to the unit. Loving my Meater 2 Plus. It was fairly easy to set up the app. I immediately used it to smoker a prime rib and it worked like a charm.

Never cook without a MEATER

Never cook without a MEATER 2 plus. Any other way is just guesswork. Should be standard issue with all cooking devices

The only issue is the the timing on when to remove is not accurate. I did a medium rare 125 degrees and I followed the prompt on when to remove and let it rest and it went to 134 before it said it was ready
