I got this to replace our old corded weed wacker, and my husband LOVES it - the freedom!! The adjustable elements are great for getting the right balance and angles, the wheels are awesome for a mini-mow element. The battery charging system is great - and it's awesome that it is interchangeable with other Worx tools.
Really cool tool for our small yard with lots of edges and nooks and crannies.

I bought this trimmer on the advise of my 2 brothers who purchased one each and got 2 batteries. I purchased mine one week later and only got one battery. I don’t understand why that would happen. I got the same trimmer as both brothers. I just got it so I haven’t had the opportunity to use it but I will this weekend.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hi there! Thank you for posting your review. The WG170 trimmer has been changed to include a single 20V battery, however, you now get a 1 hour quick charger instead of the 5 hour charger. It's one touch button for auto feed the string

My mother-in-law bought one of these 8 years ago and we could NEVER FIGURE out how to use it, very bad instructions, one page manual. It wouldn't turn to different things like weed eater to edger as easy as they show on tv, now it just stays on a book in shed, I would rather just put gas in my other one and fire up and go, all I have to sorry about is gas, the worx weed eater, couldn't stand up against the amount of yards that I have !!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO MY WORST ENEMY !!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a great blower. Plenty of power when you need it and can turn it down when you don’t want so much. Lightweight so easy to use. Plenty of battery time.

Hello! Thank you for sharing your honest review. WORX batteries run different amounts of time depending on the tool, but for the most part, the 2.0 Ah batteries average about 20 minutes of run-time. The blowers are the most energy consuming, and you can expect about 10 minutes from them at high speeds. This being said, we do have high capacity batteries that will double and even triple the run-time on your tools. You can check those out on the WORX web-site under model numbers WA3578 and WA3671. If your battery stopped working altogether, they are covered under a 1-year warranty and we would be glad to help you get that resolved! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] we purchased this trimmer after having a gas trimmer for years, what attracted me were the wheels, it makes trimming my big yard an easy job, you can even get it done with ONE HAND, that's how easy it is!!, we got the deal with the 4.0ah battery, in which I was a bit skeptical if that was gonna last for my big yard, just to be surprised, that I only used only half of the battery juice for the entire house. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE I KNOW !!! LOVE IT !!

3rd Trimmer

My first trimmer was a WG 159.2 18V battery (2008). I loved the thin neat edging line on the grass and not hearing a blade hit the concrete or see sparks. I got the WG 156 because of the battery share with the hedge trimmer which I like also. No extension chord for my wife to cut. She has cut two (2). Now about my new WG 170.3. It still has that thin neat trim, I have trimmed my yard twice so far on one charge. Hope to do it a 3rd time with the 20V 4Ah battery. Love the longer extension and heavier dual wheels with the ability to reposition the wheel for a lawn mower mode. Love the lock to tilt the trimming head instead of stepping on it to adjust. Then there's the push button for adjusting the handle along with the spool holder. Don't forget the button to advance the string. I love it that much that I bought a WG 170.2 for my nephews to use at my sister's new house and one for my daughter when her new house is built. Can't wait to show my grandson how to use it.
