Good for basic dethatching

It does a great job dethatching but..........

It works great at dethatching the grass however the bag is useless! It doesn't hold much at a time so you spend more time stopping and emptying the very SMALL bag! Was easier to leave the thatched grass and pick it all up at the end with the mower.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nothing but a pain
Back Wells to small if I keep the collecting bag
It gets worse
Even if I take the bag off every little bump gets stock so not happy it all
If back Wells where is big is the front ones things where work different I'm looking in to return it and buy from somewhere else

Great job

Just got it last week and put it to work this weekend. It did a great job of taking years of dead grass out of my lawn. I was able to set it so it put lines in the grass so I could put on grass seed and fertilizer much easier. This saved my back from having to manually rake is to manually rake my yard.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Amazing Machine

I bought this last summer and couldn't believe all the thatch that was below the surface of the grass. I filled the bed of my Ranger with all the thatch. Love this product, would recommend it to all.

I have several WORX products and love them. But this de-thatcher was disappointing and was sent back.
1) The actual de-thatching tines work great. On the 1 setting it captured the thatch in my lawn without damaging the lawn.
2) The setting wheel would often switch to another setting. I'd be moving along and all of a sudden I was digging a hole in my lawn and I realized the setting wheel had moved to 2 or 3.
3) The bag is small. OK, I thought that would be workable since I would be using this product only once a year and could empty the bag into the wheelbarrow as I worked. But the bag would not fill up. It would fill about 1/4 and then start leaving the thatch on the lawn. I ended up going over the whole lawn with my WORX lawnmower to pick up the thatch.
In conclusion, in reading reviews I didn't expect this product to be awesome, but I thought it would get the job done. I was wrong. It was just frustrating and I think my neighbor was watching me. So I'm definitely down a point in the Lawn Wars... : )
