Perfect Dethatcher!!

I received my Dethatcher last week, it worked just as designed!!…Our yard hasn’t been dethatched in 9 years, we just moved in last year, and we got a ENTIRE Pickup bed full of Thatch…. It’s perfect for our size lawn, just under 5000 sq ft. So far WORX Products live up their name… You take care of your equipment and it will take care of you…Thanks WORX….

Amazing Machine

I bought this last summer and couldn't believe all the thatch that was below the surface of the grass. I filled the bed of my Ranger with all the thatch. Love this product, would recommend it to all.

Not for use with St. Augustine grass

I received the dethacher late Thursday, I used it the next day. It lasted about 20 minutes then the blade quit spinning. I unplugged it, turned it upside down and saw that grass had spun around both ends of the blade connectors. Only thing to do was take it apart and clean everthing up. It was not easy to remove the blade. The website has zero replacement blades. No replacement washers. You can see from the photos the plastic does not hold up. Sooo, disappointed. It's not for use on St. Augustine grass here in south Texas. Going to have to return. Sooo, disappointed
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Performed exceptionally well!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] At first I thought machine wasn't going to do the job because the machine appeared light and weak, but would you believe it really performed exceptionally well. I was amazed how fast and easy it was to use. You must 1st properly adjust the height so that your not digging up dirt. I thought the tines were weak and would not hold up, but let me tell you they did the job on a 3/4 acres property. Love the safty feature with the start button on the side. Machine won't start unless you hold down the long bar first then pressing the start button to engage. I want to emphasize or repeat, adjust the height properly to ease the machines movement and your stress while moving with the unit. If this is not done, you may be putting excess stress on the machine and may cause the tines to break. The only drawback, you have to use a long extension cord. I used 100ft cord with very little problems while moving around. The second drawback, the clippings catcher fills up fast causing you to stop to empty the bag out. Cleaning the machine wasn't a problem, I used a hose being very careful not to go near any electrical parts or the units motor. I then used a worx cordless blower to dry the unit and it worked well. Caution, do not do this if the unit is connected to a power supply. Overall I give this machine a thumbs up and five star for holding up to my expectations. Thank you worx's for yet another great innovation.

WAAAAY better than raking!

I bought this in the spring of 2019 (April I think). Wasn't looking forward to raking yard again. Decided to give this a try. Not disappointed at all - did a great job! I think a lot better than raking and no sore muscles at all. Just walk behind it, it kicks up the dead stuff, go after with Worx mower and pick up all the debris, dump in green bin, find a cool beverage and you're good to go! Wish this was available 20 years ago!

Needs improvement

When I used this on my lawn, the basket didn't collect any of the grass clippings and fell off several times. Got to the point of not using it at all. Overall the machine did an adequate job. Dethatched some of the lawn but struggled in some thicker areas.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Portable powerful dethatcher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] No need to go to your local rental store and rent a dethatcher. This corded dethatcher has 3 settings and is very powerful on lifting the thatch up. Only downside is the bagger is small and fills easily. My work around was to keep going and lift unit wen you make your turn and the excess thatch clears. I than use another Worx tool. The yard vacuum/leaf blower to suck up the loose thatch. Also this unit is very easy to assemble and it stores great as it breaks down nicely
