Works as advertised.

I purchased my dethatcher a month ago and i am completely satisfied with its performance. It is lightweight in weight only as I was able to do 75X50 front lawn with out wearing myself out and the machine was more than powerful enough to dethatch a severely heat damaged lawn. Assembly was very easy, only took a few minutes. Good product Worx!

Performed exceptionally well!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] At first I thought machine wasn't going to do the job because the machine appeared light and weak, but would you believe it really performed exceptionally well. I was amazed how fast and easy it was to use. You must 1st properly adjust the height so that your not digging up dirt. I thought the tines were weak and would not hold up, but let me tell you they did the job on a 3/4 acres property. Love the safty feature with the start button on the side. Machine won't start unless you hold down the long bar first then pressing the start button to engage. I want to emphasize or repeat, adjust the height properly to ease the machines movement and your stress while moving with the unit. If this is not done, you may be putting excess stress on the machine and may cause the tines to break. The only drawback, you have to use a long extension cord. I used 100ft cord with very little problems while moving around. The second drawback, the clippings catcher fills up fast causing you to stop to empty the bag out. Cleaning the machine wasn't a problem, I used a hose being very careful not to go near any electrical parts or the units motor. I then used a worx cordless blower to dry the unit and it worked well. Caution, do not do this if the unit is connected to a power supply. Overall I give this machine a thumbs up and five star for holding up to my expectations. Thank you worx's for yet another great innovation.

Not for use with St. Augustine grass

I received the dethacher late Thursday, I used it the next day. It lasted about 20 minutes then the blade quit spinning. I unplugged it, turned it upside down and saw that grass had spun around both ends of the blade connectors. Only thing to do was take it apart and clean everthing up. It was not easy to remove the blade. The website has zero replacement blades. No replacement washers. You can see from the photos the plastic does not hold up. Sooo, disappointed. It's not for use on St. Augustine grass here in south Texas. Going to have to return. Sooo, disappointed
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worx doesn’t quite Work

I bought the worx dethatcher at the end of July 2021 I used twice three things disappointed me.
1 The bag is useless I went for it for the bag.
2 Wheel height adjustment changes itself without finishing a run from number one to number two you find yourself digging in no time.
3 The most frustrating of all is Is overheating and therefore shutting down At first I thought I was making a mistake by connecting two extension cords but after I bought 12 gauge cord one hundred feet still the same results that’s when the frustration kicked in.I have a normal size suburban lot and I couldn’t finish it without it shutting down twice and having to wait for it to cool down. When the wheel height doesn’t change and the machine is rolling it does a really good job.

Dethatcher jumps heights

My lawn is not flat and the depth that I have it set on does not seem to hold. I had mowed my lawn shorter than normal so I could dethatch it. Had the wheels set on the 1 and when I put it away I believe the number had switched to 2. I have not given up as this is all new to me.
