[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this to dethatch not only my lawn, but also two widow neighbors. Our lawns suffer from heavy snow build up over Wisconsin winters. It did a FANTASTIC job dethatching and breathing life into our compacted lawns.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It does Dethatch, just lacks past that

I finally got to use it after purchasing it late last fall. I had no assembly issues like some other buyers but I can only give it an average rating because the collection process is bad. I actually don't have the bag filling up like other complaints. My Worx Dethatcher actually kicks out more debris out the front of it than it collects in the bag. I would guess the bag only collects about a 1/3, the rest is left scattered all over the lawn. I've tried pushing it at different speeds along with changing the height levels but nothing helps. I also tried emptying the bag when it gets only half full to see it that makes a difference but it does not either. So the end result is I still have to follow up raking up the debris or like another reviewer, get it with the lawnmower. FYI, I used an extension cord that has 14 gauge wire and I had no shut down issues.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hey! Thank you for posting your honest review. We would love to help resolve this issue with you, as the dethatcher is certainly not supposed to do that. All the thatch should be thrown into the bag, as you are trying to remove it from the ground in the first place! I just received mine. Cleaned up my entire yard with all the ease could be. So much better then paying some one to do it. Can control how much and how good I want it done ✅

This tool is very fine tool..Saved me a lot of back breaking raking...Everything worked very well..The only problem I have now is that the tines are worn down so low that I will have to replace the tines before I can use the tool again.......

Handy tool for the yard

I just bought this at the beginning of March and was able to use it a couple weeks ago. It did great on areas that my grass was low level. Saved me long hours by instead of my Dethatcher rake. I bought it because I have a torn shoulder and didn’t want to strain it any further. The only problem I did have that it shut off three times. Each time I had to wait for at 30min or more before it would turn on again. For my thicker grass I had to raise up the wheel otherwise it was making it work too hard. It was a little hard to push as well. I also did my front and backyard on different days to prevent overworking it. I used level 2 in my front yard. It was still struggling and shut off. Prior to this. I mowed my yard as low as it could go without butchering it. I didn’t use the bag attachment because as much stuff that was coming up I would’ve been stopping too much to unload it. So I used my bag mower to clean up the excess debris. It was much faster that way. Also, the extension cord was always in the way as well. Comes with the territory of a plug-in device. Other pretty handy.

Very Capable Dethatcher!

It does exactly what it’s supposed to. Some people have complained that the bagger is too small, but a larger one, when full, would make the unit hard to push I do have to empty the bag a lot. . The only downside I’ve found is on uneven ground, where it tends to dig a hole. It tries to level out any high points, and I don’t known a good way around that. I don’t like the pictorial assembly instructions, but I am generally pleased. I have a VERY large yard, and I’m glad I made this purchase.
