Decent, not w/o some flaws

I'd like give this 3.5 stars. For the price it does what it's supposed to do. It's not self propelled so it's difficult to move it over bumpy/uneven yards. The collection bag flat out doesn't work. I own a lot of Worx tools and like the overall design and quality. For it's price this is a good machine and is more economical than renting one - after 2 uses it's paid for itself.

Might be worth the cost and effort

This unit arrived in California about 9 days after I ordered. There were manufacturing defects on where the screws go to keep the handles in place (unit required the screws to enter from the outside, but the holes on the handles were on the inside so you could never get screwed in) but the unit worked anyway. I purchased this specifically for the catch. While the engine has got a lot of pep and it's certainly does the job, the catch only captures about 20% of the thatch defeating the whole purpose if buying one for the catch. Everytime I hit a small divot the catch jumped and emptied what little it collected back on the lawn.
The other issue is that I noticed is that while it ran like a champ, anytime I came to uneven areas in the lawn I had to strain to get it over the area making it really hard to use and then ofcourse, it dumped everything in the catch when I lifted the unit to keep it moving.
Don't buy it for the clippings catch. By it for the motor and just know that if you need a catch, this is not the unit for you.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great quality for a great price!

I bought this after deciding on another brand. The other brand had reviews that no replacement belt was available for their product, what lousy service is that. After seeing the reviews, it was a no brainier on this product. A trusted brand, 3 year warranty and a great price! The dethatcher worked like a charm, it had plenty of power and was easy to set up and use. I would highly recommend this dethacher as well as Worx products.

Easy to use, works great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently purchased to take care of years of grass and leave thatch in my lawn. Used 1 time and it removed 90% of the debris. It worked so well the debris catcher would overflow after 1 pass.
