Overheats

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would use it for about 3-5 passes and it would overheat and stop. I would have to let it set and cool down and eventually it would start working again. When it did work, it did an okay job. Just like everyone said, the grass catcher is useless. It didn’t do anything. Not impressed. Would say it’s “just okay” or maybe less than okay since I had to wait on it for long periods of time to cool down.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Another good Worx product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was hoping to find a battery-powered dethatcher in the Worx lineup as most of my lawn equipment is (56V line). This is my 2nd dethatcher this year as the first one failed after only a few uses. It worked very well the first time on a 3,000 sq ft section of my yard.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Does the job

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this after neighbor showed me his sunjoe model. In prep for aeration though good idea with aeration and overseeing and setting how the neighbors sunjoe performed. Man after the neighbor saw the worx perform he said he should have bought a worx. Amazing the thatch it pulled up and now with new seed down fall grass going string!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellent product as advertised

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 15000 sq ft yard. Worked as it should and did not tear up the existing grass, cleaned the yard to get ready to seed and fertilize. On a large yard the grass catcher is use less. Best to hold up cover with bungee and let thatch come out to ground. Suck up thatch with mower bagger saves time starting and stopping. Another great Worx product.

Easy enough for an old lady to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently bought a home in Florida which has very thick thatch. Ordered this Dethatcher and started working on restoring my lawn on Thursday. This machine is amazing at the amount of thatch it pulls out! Definitely a must have to keep your lawn in good health! My photo wouldn’t load . The only draw back is the grass catcher gets in the way but it isn’t needed so no big deal for me.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Couldn't believe how much thatch was removed!

I was so happy to invest in another Worx tool. The electric dethatcher came well packaged. Everything was intact. No parts missing. Easy to put together. And I'm a 67 year old female. My front lawn took a beating from the hot sun this summer. It needed an overhaul. Since I already have a Worx 3 in 1 trimmer/ edger I bought earlier this year which I just am completely happily satisfied with I decided to look into a dethatcher with Worx. I only came across the electric dethatcher and ordered it. Glad I did! I was amazed at how well it worked. I couldn't believe at all the thatch it removed. My only wish is that the collection bag was larger. It kept filling the bag every few minutes with thatch. We have only lived here 3 years. So who knows when this lawn was last dethatched. I'm very satisfied at the ease, use and how well it works.

Effective Dethatcher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a few weeks back to dethatch a pretty sad lawn. The instructions for putting together the unit were a little hard to understand without any writing and the pictures were not super helpful, but I didn't have any trouble figuring it out and putting it together. Just needed to attach the handle. I started with going over the lawn one direction on the highest setting to see how much it would pick up the first time around. I was blown away by how much it picked up. And that was only on the first pass at the highest settings. I am going to go over the lawn again in a perpendicular pattern and at the next lowest setting and I am sure it will pick up a lot more. At the highest setting it was pretty easy to maneuver and was basically like vacuuming your lawn. I used the bag attachment for a few passes but it was not that useful considering how much thatch was being picked up so I just went over the lawn without the bag and cleaned it up afterward with the lawnmower. I am very happy with my purchase.
