I received the product but find it is too short. We have an older one that is longer. Tyour tech says it is a foot longer but it seems to be a foot shorter.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there! Thank you for posting your review. The WG170 GT Revolution grass trimmer is our longest standard 20V trimmer to date. To extend the shaft on your tool, you must simply turn the orange lock collar in the center of the shaft clockwise to loosen the collar, then adjust your shaft to the maximum length, then tighten it by turning it counter-clockwise. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i was watching the tv add and tried to buy the trimmer because it was cheeper and it came with life time of trimmer line and a extra battery.i called the number and it would not connect,so i went online hoping to find the same deal. but i found the trimmer but it cost more and 1 battery,i was dissapointed, but over all the trimmer works well, it just runs out of steam before im finished trimming,the 2nd battery would ave been perfect.
i do love the product and i hope it lasts

i AM HAVING A LOT OF TROUBLE WITH THE SPOOLS, BREAKING OFTEN. wHEN I CHECK , THE SPOOL STILL HAS A LOT OF LINE, BUT IT SEEMS TO BE STUCK, LIKE GLUE, hAS HEAT MELTED THE SPOOL LINES, SO IT WON'T FEED PROPERLY? tHIS HAS OCCURED ON MANY SPOOLS, EVEN THE VERY NEW ONES.

I have had this for at least 4 years. Originally purchased for my wife to use, as my gas powered trimmers are to much for her. Funny thing, I use it more than my gas units as well. Purchased more Works tools( hedge trimmer, switch drill, and blower/mulch) Same results! Keep up the good products coming!

Worx trimmer

I brought 1 of this trimmer in 2019. By the summer of 2020 the trimmer started ejecting the string without pressing the ejection button every time I try to use it. I purchased another 2021 earlier this year and it is currently doing the same thing. I DO NOT RECOMMEND PURCHASING THIS ITEM!! I understand it is easy to use at a reasonable price but they always say you pay for what you get so now I am going to purchase and brand. WORX is not what I expected..

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Please keep in mind that WORX tools are covered under a warranty. When initially switching on the trimmer, a small length of the line is fed out. Each time the tool is started from rest it will advance about 0.25 inches of trimmer line. A ‘clattering’ noise will be heard when the lines hit the Line Cutter. Please don't be alarmed, this is quite normal. After about 5 seconds the line will be cut to the correct length and the noise will reduce as the motor gains full speed. If the noise of the line being cut can’t be heard, more line will need to be fed out. To feed more line, it is first necessary to allow the trimmer to stop completely; it must come to a complete rest, then restart, allowing the motor to reach full speed. Repeat above until you hear the line hitting against the Line Cutter.
If required, line can be fed out manually. To operate, press and release the manual Line Feed Button (refer to the trimmer diagram in the owner’s manual), while gently pulling out the line until it is long enough to reach the Line Cutter. If the line extends past the Line Cutter, too much line has been fed out. If too much line is fed out, remove the Spool Cap and turn Spool counter-clockwise until the line is at the desired length.
Also, please make sure the guard is on the trimmer, as it has a blade that cuts the line to length. Please never hesitate to contact us directly. We are always happy to help! We can be reached at 1-866-354-9679 Monday - Friday 9 am - 6 pm EST.
