Command Feed doesn't work

For starters, the first Worx weed eater I owned was a champ. I put it through a hard workout and it performed exceptionally until I wore it out. After trying out another brand that didn't meet expectations, I purchased another Worx. This one has been a headache. The Command Feed doesn't work so I have to stop and manually eject it. On top of that the string seems to be brittle and quickly breaks off to about 2 inches almost immediately after manually feeding the line. Not sure what's happening but this isn't the Worx I remember.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello there!
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and review! We greatly appreciate your honest feedback as it gives us a better understanding of where we need to improve.
We recommend storing the spools in a cool, dry place. The spool line is made of a biodegradable material so that it easily breaks down without impacting the environment. This makes the spools of line very delicate and in extreme weather situations, the line will begin to melt and fuse together. To combat this, the spools of line can be unwound and rewound to ensure that the line will properly feed when placed in the grass trimmer.
You can try resetting the auto feed system by pressing the small square reset button on the bottom of the trimmer. It is located below the eyelet where your line feeds out on the trimmer head. If you press that 3 times, the auto feed system will reset and the line will come out properly. Be sure not to pull the line out by hand. This will tighten the line around the spool defeating the purpose of the auto feed feature.
Please note, when depressing the command feed button, the line advances 1/4" at a time.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve just used it once but, so far so good! I like how it is not so heavy & that it can also be used to edge. My neighbor has one & he let me borrow his. Another friend has one & he loves it. So, I had to order myself one.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second trimmer and it is just as good as my first. At 78 i enjoy the light weight and ease of putting new string.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this product because it is light weight and with the 3 and 1 but when you buy the replacement spools they break quickly after a couple of feet a bluffeat
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hello Valued Customer. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and review. Worx offers a Spools for Life program. You can visit our link below anytime you are in need of more replacement spools.
Just ordered my 2nd WORX gt. I have had one for over three years and still in excellent condition. Got another just in case!!! This tool works great and battery lasts for my whole yard of 10,000 sq ft either sidewalk and street curb. Have tried gas powered tools. Never again. Thxs WORX. GET ONE You will not be dissatisfied. I also restring the spools myself. Easy peasy. Do it!!!!
Just did away with my Cobalt Trimmer for the Work Trimmer, glad I did, so easy and light way to use. With all the different positions and great use, my wife likes to do trimming now. We're in our 60's and makes yard work a breeze.
Like Kenyata I purchased a trimmer in 2019. I too have the issue with string feed. The trimmer continuously feeds string without pressing the manual feed. There is an issue with the auto feed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Valued Customer! Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and review. It's unfortunate to learn that the line feed system is not working properly. You can try resetting the auto feed system by pressing the small square reset button on the bottom of the trimmer. It is located below the eyelet where your line feeds out on the trimmer head. If you press that 3 times, the auto feed system will reset and the line will come out correctly. Be sure not to pull the line out by hand. This will tighten the line around the spool defeating the purpose of the auto feed feature. There is no need to bump the trimmer on the ground.
To feed more line, it is first necessary to allow the trimmer to stop completely; it must come to a complete rest, then restart, allowing the motor to reach full speed. Repeat above until you hear the line hitting against the Line Cutter. Please check out our self-help options on our website at https://www.worx.com/contact?openByDefault=true.
