Work well but loud

As others have noted, you can't walk around your yard with this like a vacuum. It really does a lot better if you take some time to get piles of stuff first. Partly this is because of the cord can limit mobility and partly because this sucker is loud. Of all of the corded / cordless tools that I own, this is the only one that I have to wear hearing protection for if I'm going to be using it more than a couple of minutes at a time.
But other than that I will say that it does work effectively well to mulch leaves and it does what I need it to do. The blower works well, but I think that restricting the nozzle some more to provide higher speeds would make it easier to blow more types of leaves. That and the hassle of detaching the bag every time to switch isn't super useful. Would almost be better if this were an optimized mulcher / vacuum.
But other than that I will say that it does work effectively well to mulch leaves and it does what I need it to do. This is the second TRIVAC I've purchased

I sent the first to my dad in Washington. This units is powerful but, heavy. I'm not looking for a shoulder strap to take the load off my arm while I'm cleaning leaves off my new artificial grass.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is just want I wanted to take care of my leaves. Used it for the first time yesterday & it worked well & mulched the leaves into small bits which I could easily dump from the collection bag into a garbage can. Just wish it was a little lighter but I am considered elderly.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The vacuum works fine, but the bags are junk. Blew through two in one season...rips right around the zipper.

Great blower for dry leaves

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had my blower for a year now the first year i got late October leaves were thick and wet and the blower would clog constantly. the bag fills up in seconds i had to laugh so I did by the attachment and dragged the the thing around behind me hunched over. Still though kept clogging with wet leaves. Notice the commercials show you dry leaves only!! Dry leaves itworls way better but still pain in the rear
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A solid tool when used in the right conditions

This tool works great as a blower - plenty of power to move huge piles of dry leaves quickly and easily. It's slightly less great with wet leaves, though, but still WAY better than raking.
I struggled with the vacuum/mulcher. It's pretty good if you're vacuuming/mulching dry leaves that are thin and brittle, but if there are any wet leaves or thicker leaves (e.g., magnolia leaves) in that pile, the entryway into the bag will get clogged up quite easily, and quite often. I like that collection bag has a shoulder strap, but I found that the bag must be worn just so, otherwise the entryway into the bag will also get clogged. Any twists or bends into the bag will result in clogs. Cleaning out the clogs involves powering down the tool, waiting a few seconds for the mulcher to stop spinning, releasing the bag from tool, and digging into the bag entryway to clear out the clog. After doing this a few dozen times, you quickly realize it's faster and less frustrating to just pick up the leaves by hand.
Nevertheless, I DO recommend this tool, as it is really pretty great if you use it in the exact, right conditions - when your leaves are dry, mostly thin, and brittle.
I should mention it's pretty loud too, so be sure to wear ear protection. The first time I used this tool, I stupidly decided to ignore the recommendations and forego wearing ear protection. After a couple of hours, my ears felt the same as they did after I attended that U2 concert in Pittsburgh a couple of years ago. I've worn ear protection every time I've used this tool ever since and haven't had any problems.
