Best Mulcher With Super Easy Conversion to Blower

We have had two DIY Store Brand corded Mulchers [the red colored ones] that were very difficult - an understatement - to convert to Blower Mode, and were very cumbersome to use in vacuum/mulcher Mode. We purchased the Worx WG512 based on videos and specs, and we are VERY impressed.
The ability to convert betweeen mulcher/vacuum to blower is just an awesomely engineered feature. The bag snaps on and off with a simple click action, and the rotating moror assembly design make the conversion super easy, No other vacuum/mulcher/blower tool comes close to matching the WG512 ease of conversion.
The balance and grip make vacuuming leaves very natural, unlike my previous devices that had to be held two-handed in a somewhat awkard angle. I use battery powered leaf blowers to get the leaves into a bunch, so I did not buy the WG512 for that purpose, but I do find myself using the Worx in Blower Mode to do 'touch-ups' just because it is so convenient to convert from Vacuum to Blower - it is just snap off the bag and rotate the motor assembly.
And the Bag - I like to have a 'clean' tool when done, and I emptied the leaf bag, then turned it inside out to get the residue out of the bag. I was then impressed with how well crafted even the bag is. The bag material is thick, the stitching was even and looked durable as heck, and the entire bag when turned inside out was completely symmetrical and flat, and could be brushed very ckean.
The suction in Vacuum Mode is great, and though I was only doing winter cleanup, a half hour of vacuuming only got the bag around half full - awesome mulching ratio compared to my previous red tools. The metal blades ate wet leaves and twigs without a hitch. I purchased the Leaf Catcher Hose accessory, but will not get good use from it until next Fall - but we have tons of leaves from the forested area on our property, and sucking the mulched leaves right into a trash can we can empty into the marsh will be very welcome.
The wife could not handle the previous mulchers, but she handles the WG512 with relative ease. You will not go wrong with the WG512. Great job Worx!

Not bad

Bought it a couple of weeks ago. A bit heavy, bulky and hard to handle. Makes a lot of dust which gets all over the user. Pick up tube would work much better for comfort, if it was a little longer. The biggest problem is the dust. If you can solve the dust situation, tht would help.

Due to the nature of the Trivac, the leaf collection bag will release a small amount of dust when in use, but this should not be excessive enough to be a problem. I bought this a month ago. Used it for the cleaning up seed and leaves from a huge maple tree. Did the job! Seeds are very hard to pick up but it worked well. Leaves are no problem. Used the over the shoulder bag.

Best For Very Small Yards

I tried it within an hour of delivery today. I have a smaller yard (less than a fifth of an acre). Here are thw pros and cons:
Pros
Easy assembly.
Sucks up leaves well as long as you move nozzle constantly.
Mulches well and even chips up fine twigs.

Collection system doesn't stay on trash container well
Bottom line: This would be a great tool for a townhome or very small lot, bur not real practical for anything larger.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just bought this and while the system itself vacs & mulches great 5 times of detaching and attaching the bag and the pin is broken off! Why WORX would use a plastic piece for something so vital to this machine makes little sense! Not to mention I can't find a way on-site to buy replacement (multiple!!!) pieces for this attachment pin for the bag... a bit disappointed my yardwork is cut off this quickly because of a simple fix on your end.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I been using this wonderful machine for a few weeks now and its awesome!! It makes leaf pick up a breeze. Its very powerful. I thought it was going to have problems mulching some of twigs but it didn't. And if it does jam which does happen once in a while, its very easy to clear the jam. Overall...it worth every penny. I love it!!!
