Time saver and lawn saver!

I wasn't sure how well this leaf mulcher would work, but I bought one anyway. I am very glad that I did. It mulches very well and drops the left over into a garbage bag. Just tie it up and you are done. One recommendation, get a stronger twine. It wore down faster than I expected. Overall, I like this mulcher and would recommend it to anyone.

Good Mulcher; Needs an adaptor to fit over bin

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mulched does a good job of mulching leaves, but will not mulch them into a lawn leaf bin. You have to mulch them into a bag and then dump the bag into a bin.

Does the job with some work

The rate of feed and a buildup in the machine shears off the monofilament line, requiring them to be replaced. I am careful to feed it at a slower pace and check for a buildup inside that will shear the line. It is fairly easy to clear the deck once stopped.

Worx Leaf Shredder

I was advised to chop hay for my horse and that this machine would be good for that purpose. However, while it works well mechanically, it took me an hour to chop less than 1/3 bale of hay, and it is too fine and dusty. Is there a way to adjust the cutting size so that it chops or cuts the hay instead of turning it into dust? In order to chop 20 lbs, it will take all day.

Motor cooling air intake poor design. Burns out

All electric motors require air to cool them or they burn out. The air intake is located next to the outgoing mulched leaves so they quickly clog up the filter. This causes the motors to overheat and eventually burn out. Instructions do not cover how to clean out the filter. Clean out requires removing the motor cover. Why did they not design it with an easily cleaned filter? Other than that it does the job pretty well.

Easy to use & gets the JOB DONE!

Been wanting a muncher and went with WORX, as I own several of their products - all good. The mulcher was very easy to put together, clear simple instructions with no tools needed. Tried it out with both Dry and Wet leaves and did a good job on both. I'm mulching mainly Oak leaves and worked to keep the bark out. While the final results were great, it is a messy job and DO NOT OPERATE WITHOUT SAFETY GOGLES OR A MASK. First time I did not wear a mast and paid for it the next 24 hours. Second time I wore both - much better. Avoid sticks best you can and the results are great. Need to change up the line about every 2-3 full runs, but also found the line that comes with the machine is rather flimsy so purchased .80 Commercial Grade, which lasted longer. Machine stores away easily & nicely back in the box if you have limited space. Now all my neighbors want to borrow - ugh. Love it - great purchase - would buy again! Only con is it is rather tall when put together so if you are under 5'8" it might be a stretch to comfortably stand and load the leaves. I used a plastic contractor bag to catch the leaves and that worked much better than paper or plastic garbage bags (got holes right away). This was the most thorough means to "catch all". I'm mulching to reuse the leaves in my garden beds and they are a perfect fine size - even the wet leaves mulched well. Love my new leaf muncher - used it for about 15 loads thus far.
